Other things to note Ceiling Height: The basement ceiling is 6 ft 8 in throughout the apartment. There are two areas (large beam columns with HVAC ductwork) that are slightly lower — approximately 5 ft 9 in — located between rooms. These lower sections do not interfere with the main living areas, but taller guests should be aware.
