Other things to note On July 24, 2024, a wildfire destroyed ~360 structures in and around the town of Jasper. The fire covered over 33,000 ha of the National Park. The views have changed, and for many, it will take some getting used to. In some ways, the landscape has a new beauty. By some stroke of luck, our home was only slightly damaged. The inside living spaces have been cleaned and, after 3.5 months, the suite is ready to welcome visitors. Homes across the street have been burned, however houses on either side of us stand, as does the forest behind. The Town and Park have opened a number of facilities and day use areas. To find out what is open, please visit the Municipality of Jasper website. Alternatively, the Jasper National Park website has updated information on trails and recreational activities. Please feel free to reach out if you have further questions. We are always happy to help. And thank you for supporting our town. Marci and Steve
