La Casa de Amati: Best Getaway from the City

Just 45 minutes from Guatemala City (and still in the department) you can enjoy this paradise! The caretaker and his wife live on site, but stay on their small piece of property in the back. The home is two-stories, with the master and loft on the second story. You have use of a full kitchen. You may see chickens, roosters, and even a peacock on property. Neighbors are also friendly but you may hear their music at reasonable hours. Feel free to bring your own speaker. During the evening, it can get chilly. Depending on the season, you will notice mosquitoes. Be sure to bring insect repellent.
