Nestled in the heart of the stunning Red River Gorge, our charming cabin, built in 2018, offers a perfect blend of modern comfort and natural beauty. This cozy retreat is ideal for families looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse themselves in the tranquility of nature. The backporch sits about 18 ft above the forest floor providing a wonderful valley view and delightful soundscape! Enjoy 2 private bedrooms each with a queen sized bed as well as a large ladder-accessed loft containing 2 additional twin beds. Central heating and cooling keeps the cabin comfy in any weather. On nice days, open the garage door in the living room to bring the outdoors in! The wrap-around porch is the perfect place to relax, listen to the birds and take in all of the wonders that the gorge has to offer. - 2 miles to the Gorge Underground - 3 miles to the Miguel's Pizza, Red River Rockhouse, Natural Bridge State Park and Daniel Boone Coffee Shop - 4 miles to Skybridge Station and the entrance to the Gorge’s Scenic Loop - 5 miles to the Zipline and Red Point BBQ Key Features: - Breathtaking Views: The balcony provides an amazing high view of the lush trees, making it the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening relaxation. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: - Open-floorplan kitchen + living room - Living room "garage door" window - Living room with large comfy sectional couch + throw blankets - 2 private bedrooms, each with queen beds AMENITIES: - Full bath including full size tub + shower - Full kitchen including oven, 4 burner stove top, coffee-maker, toaster, etc - TV with apps to log into your personal streaming services (no DVD player, cable, provided streaming apps) ACCESSIBILITY CONSIDERATIONS: - Gravel road and parking - Wooden stairs/walkway from parking to cabin - Ladder to large loft with 2 twin beds OUTDOOR FEATURES: - East and north-facing decks + patio furniture - Fire pit + chairs - Charcoal grill (plan to bring or buy your own charcoal, lighter fluid, etc) A NOTE ABOUT THE WATER: - The Birdhouse's water is provided by truck delivery to a cistern. The water is recommended for bathing and cooking, but not recommended for drinking. We provide one 5 gallon jug of drinking water for your stay, but please plan to bring more if you think you will need it. **************NOTES************** Linens are always provided for this cabin. We will provide pillows, blankets, bedsheets and bath towels. We will also provide kitchen towels, toilet paper, hand and dish soap. Firewood is also available upon request. For $25 we will deliver firewood to your fire pit. Please be sure to mark on your reservation if you would like firewood delivery. Please be sure to put out all fires COMPLETELY when you are finished.
