The space J’s Farmhouse is the perfect place to kick back, relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside of Atascadero and the surrounding Central Coast! Located amongst bucolic hills, this modern farmhouse is surrounded by beautiful views of majestic oaks and calming vistas. Just a short drive away you will find all the picturesque wineries and charming coastal towns you want to visit. We’d love to host you and your guests at J’s Farmhouse, come on over! Our newly-built farmhouse with wood-beamed, vaulted ceilings features everything you need for a perfect getaway! Whip up your meals in a fully-outfitted, gourmet kitchen with a double oven, built-in microwave and Keurig. Both indoor and outdoor dining areas have extra long tables with seating and settings (i.e., dishes, silverware, etc.) for 10+ people. The open concept great room with smart TV connects directly to the spacious backyard with a hot tub, horseshoe pit, corn-hole and gas BBQ grill. Inside you’ll find more fun in the garage where we have another smart TV, ping-pong, foosball and floor-to-ceiling shelving stacked with board games. Two en-suites and one shared bath, all with shower and tub, plus a half-bath in the main living area make sharing space a breeze. The house has 2 nest systems to operate the AC and heat, keeping you comfortable any time of year. When you want to wander from the property you will find everything within arms reach. With 80 miles of pristine beaches featuring water activities to the vast rolling vineyard-covered hills just waiting for outdoor adventures, our area offers exciting answers to the question, “What should we do today?” Whether you are discovering our vibrant and diverse food and wine culture, strolling through a farmer’s market, exploring the emerging art scene, or enjoying the wonders of the wildlife, you’ll find endless opportunities for almost every taste and mood. We love popping over to downtown Atascadero, 5 minutes to the north, to stroll around its town square bustling with live music, farmer’s markets and seasonal activities. There is something for everyone here – artisanal bakeries and ice cream shops, craft breweries, mixologists serving up your favorite cocktails at scenic rooftop bars, and boutique shopping experiences. For the kids we enjoy the large grassy lawns, skate park that provides helmets and scooters, the zoo, hiking Three Bridges, boating on the lake and even ax-throwing! We think you’ll also enjoy the short drive or bike ride over to the quaint village of Santa Margarita. On the way you’ll pass horses, mountain ranges and seasonal wild flowers, and once in town, you’ll find yourself stepping back into quieter times while enjoying wine tasting, a local market and nursery, your pick of delicious and picturesque dining options, antique shopping and small town festivities for all the holidays. You can also head over to the local vineyard where you can practice yoga and then sip on their wines (Mama’s favorite) or go all-out and zip-line over the vineyard (the little ones’ favorite)! San Luis Obispo, boasting Spanish architecture and Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, is just 15 minutes south of the house and offers everything you’d expect from a hip college town! 15 minutes north of J’s Farmhouse you’ll discover the historic town of Paso Robles with over 250 wine-tasting rooms and farm-to-table fare along with tried-and-true restaurants. Field of Light at Sensorio, agritourism, hot springs, golfing, museums, and art galleries are a few of the highlights for you to discover in Paso. Of course, the coast will call you over too, and in under 30 minutes you will find miles of long sandy beaches hugging several distinct beach towns. In Morro Bay cozy up with hot clam chowder, pick-up fresh fish on the wharf and walk over to Morro Rock with its fishing boats bobbing in the harbor (Papi’s favorite). Cayucos has a laid-back charm as one of the last real California beach towns. Avila Beach boasts al-fresco, pierside dining. Elephant seals lounge on the beach in San Simeon, where you will also find wild zebras roaming the hills surrounding the unbelievable architecture of the famous historical landmark, Hearst Castle. The castle is a bit further down the road but well worth the drive. Whale watching cruises, kayak rentals, horseback riding, hot air balloon rides, sea otters floating with the tide – there is so much to see and do! Also on the coast is Montaña de Oro State Park, where our favorite hiking trails are. With over 8,000 acres, including seven miles of shoreline, Montaña de Oro is one of the largest state parks in California. Spectacular views, fresh breezes, and the sound of the pounding surf add up to invigorating, memorable visits. J’s Farmhouse is a great place to call home after a day’s adventure. Relax under the stars in your private hot tub, sip wine overlooking the rolling hills and majestic oaks in quiet tranquility. Or go ahead and light up the grill while playing some lively games of corn-hole and horseshoes in the spacious backyard. It’s all here for you… 🌟 Guest Perks Program When you stay with Templeton Vacation Rentals, you get exclusive perks throughout Paso Robles: discounts at wineries, local dining, tours, and experiences!
