Welcome to Cozy Corner 2S, a charming second-floor apartment in our fully restored historic home—just steps from downtown Valparaiso! Perfect for up to 4 guests, this updated unit blends old-world character with modern amenities. Cook in the kitchen, stream a movie on the Smart TV, or head outdoors to the shared firepit, picnic tables, and cornhole game. With restaurants, shops, breweries, and cafes just minutes away, you’ll never run out of things to do. The space 🛏️ Sleeping Arrangements (Sleeps 4) --Master Bedroom: King Bed + Ceiling Fan --Living Area: Queen Floor Mattress + Ceiling Fan ⚠️ Note: Due to the historic home’s narrow doorway, a sleeper sofa could not fit. Instead, groups over 2 will use the provided floor mattress. This requires temporarily moving the coffee table to the hallway or kitchen. Linens are provided. 🚿 Bathroom & Essentials --1 Full Bathroom with tub & vanity --Towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash & hair dryer --Iron & ironing board --Clothing storage & hangers --Turkish Beach Towels (1 per guest) & Beach Toys Provided 🍳 Kitchen & Dining The fully stocked kitchen includes: ✅ Quartz countertops & sink ✅ Refrigerator & Freezer ✅ Stove, Oven & Microwave ✅ Basic Cookware, Utensils, Plates & Cups ✅ Toaster, Blender & Drip Coffee Maker (Coffee, creamer & sweetener included. Outdoor space is shared—please respect quiet hours. 🧺 Laundry & Parking --Shared Washer/Dryer in basement (use 4 PM–10 AM; reserved midday for cleaners) --Free Street Parking available on west side of street (opposite the home) ⚠️ Safety, Accessibility Notes, & House Rules --Homes are NOT baby-proofed (no outlet covers, no cabinet locks, furniture is not secured to walls, no cribs provided, etc). Guests are responsible for their safety. --No pets, parties, or events – we value the relationship with our neighbors, and strive to keep the home in top condition. --Max occupancy: 4 guests --🚭 No smoking inside or within 50 feet (violations = $300 cleaning fee) --2 steps to enter; historic home means you may see occasional bugs/spiders despite monthly treatments --Historic property: steep stairs to second floor; not ideal for those with mobility issues ⏰ Check-In / Check-Out --Check-In: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM --Check-Out: 10:00 AM --Note: We always try to provide early check-in and late check-out opportunities when possible. (It is simply dependent on whether or not it’s a same day check-in/out, the condition in which the previous guest left the home, and our cleaners’ schedules.) Please notify us if you would like early/late check-in/out, and we will do our best to make it work! 🕚 --Guests will receive key code & detailed check-in instructions via message on the morning of arrival. --Michigan City operates on Central Standard Time (CST). 🛡️ Booking Requirements We’re excited to welcome guests from all backgrounds and want to make sure every stay is enjoyable, safe, and comfortable for both you and our neighbors. To help us maintain a great experience, we ask that: --The primary renter is 25+ with a verified government ID. --Guests have positive prior reviews, or if not, a fully refundable $500 damage deposit will be required. This is returned at checkout once our team confirms the home is in good condition. 📋 Rental Agreement After booking, first-time guests are required to sign a standard rental agreement that reflects the house rules and booking details shown on this listing. Information provided is used solely to coordinate maintenance or schedule adjustments during your stay.
