Lakefront Cottage Retreat

200 ft of waterfront with your own private sandy beach! This is a three-bedroom cottage with a full kitchen (full-size fridge, stove and microwave), bathroom (shower only), living room, dining room, sunroom, and outdoor shower. Enjoy the view from your large deck, dock or beach. We are located in Utterson 20 minutes between Bracebridge and Huntsville – perfect for day trips into town or hike nearby trails. The space Our cottage provides a great balance between convenience and relaxation. On the inside: Three-bedroom cottage (1 queen bed, 2 rooms with 2 single beds). Our full kitchen is stocked with appliances, serving ware and utensils. The bathroom includes a sink, toilet and shower. We also have a separate outdoor shower. You will also find a SmartTV, board games, puzzles and a wide selection of DVDs in the living room and sunroom. Starlink internet is included for guest use. Full-size washer and dryer is available. On the outside: We have a large deck overlooking a gently sloping yard to a large dock and sandy beach that's perfect for wading into the water and playing in the sand. You can entertain from the deck which has an outdoor dining table, lounge chairs and BBQ. We also have a canoe and two stand-up paddle boards for use. Spend your evening around the campfire overlooking the water. The cottage also has a trampoline (with netting). Guest access Guests will be provided with an access code prior to arrival. Guests do not have access to the bunkie or storage sheds to the side of the property. We store personal items in there and therefore restrict access. Guests have access to the storage bins around the property that hold sand toys and lawn games. Other things to note You must be 25 years of age or older to book. The cottage has a UV water treatment system and it is safe to drink the water, however, you may choose to bring your own bottled water. The property uses a septic system. Please only flush toilet paper and do not put food scraps down the drain. You must bring your own bedding (sheets and blankets), bath towels, beach towels, and kitchen towels. Bedding is NOT provided. You must bring your own. We provide one roll of toilet paper, one roll of paper towel, a dish cloth, small dish soap, a white garbage bag for the inside bin, and a large black garbage bag for the outside bin, however, please bring your own for the remainder of the trip (toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, extra garbage bags). We provide olive oil, salt and pepper. Bring your own coffee, tea, spices and other essentials (e.g., shampoo, soap, etc.). Please refill the propane for the next guest if you use it all during your stay. Some firewood is provided at the beginning of the season, however, please be respectful of the amount being used as it’s for all guests throughout the summer. If you are going to use a lot of firewood, please bring your own. All laws and bylaws must always be followed. It’s the vacationer’s responsibility to be informed. Fireworks are not permitted. Open fires are only permitted if there is no fire ban in place. Please check or contact the host if unsure. Please no smoking inside the cottage, any cigarette butts have to be disposed of properly. Guests have access to Starlink WiFi and can view login details upon their arrival. Life jackets must be worn at all times when you are on or by the lake. We recommend bringing your own life jackets especially for young children so you can be sure of the fit. We do have some adult and children life jackets in the laundry room but do strongly encourage your own. Please leave the property in the same condition as when you arrived. Cleaning supplies are provided. There is wildlife around - squirrels, chipmunks, bears, racoons. Please use caution with regards to leaving garbage and food outside as it attracts animals.
