Bring food, drink & a sense of adventure. Clean cedar outhouses & heated showers are steps away. Great as an addition to Yogi Cozy Trailer. Suitable for 2 adults & 2 children max (x fee). The space Beachcomber's oceanfront site is on the main beach area, across from the playing field and beside Yogi Cozy Trailer. Mussel Beach is off grid, no power and no running water, it is truly a place to unplug. All our Safari Tents have a luxurious queen bed, wood stove, and comfortable, private seating area. The outdoor area has adirondack chairs on your private patio, a fully stocked kitchen, picnic table, propane fire pit, hammock and bear cache. A trail to your own beach area with 2 more adirondack chairs. We take pride in our attention to detail, you will find flashlights, solar lights, binoculars, games, towels, power pack, umbrella, blankets etc. We supply a cooler with freezer packs (can be exchanged daily), Weber bbq, propane stove, espresso maker, french press coffee maker, kettle, dishes, cups, plates etc everything you need to cook a fantastic glamping meal. We provide spices, oils, vinegars, hot drinks, cleaning products, foil, paper towel, plastic wrap, drinking and wash water. You will need to bring food, drink, beach towel (we supply travel towels for the showers), indoor shoes, shower shoes and water shoes. When you arrive you will find drinking water, wash water, ice packs in your cooler and your first nights firewood for the wood stove. Please do not bring glass and pack out what you pack in. Your site has a metal box to cache any supplies that bears and other wildlife may find irresistible. We provide propane for your camp stove and bbq. You can purchase more firewood or propane for your fire pit, for a very reasonable fee. Guest access Beachcomber is on it's own private oceanfront site with a view of Barkley Sound. There is a double hammock and a propane fire pit on site. Your own trail leads to the beach. Watch the amazing night sky. Kayaks and paddle boards can be borrowed by prior arrangement. Playing field with badminton net and games. Other things to note The gravel road to Mussel Beach is approximately 30 minutes. It can be a rough road, depending on time of year and weather, just GO SLOW and you will be fine (low lying cars not recommended). Mussel Beach is a remote Wilderness area, off the grid, no power, no running water, guests are expected to observe Bear Aware procedures, we provide all the information you need. We are located approximately 55 minutes from Tofino and 35 from Ukee. Note that the Mussel Beach gate is closed between 10pm and 7am. Showers are open 7-9 (or before dusk, whichever is earlier).
