Bridge Cottage is a recently renovated crofter’s cottage near Glenlivet, on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. The ancient Packhorse Bridge, visible from kitchen and garden, offers stunning views in every season and is famously featured on the Glenlivet Whisky Logo. The cottage provides an excellent base for discovering the natural beauty, history and vibrant culture of The Cairngorms and Speyside region renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and a wide range of outdoor activities. The space Bridge Cottage is a unique, detached cosy home, centrally heated, and consists of an open plan living/dining area with wood burning stove ( Logs provided free of charge). There is a fully equipped kitchen with stunning views of the ancient Packhorse Bridge. The cottage offers a double bed in bedroom 1 , a kingsize bed in bedroom 2 and a single bed in the super cosy upstairs attic bedroom ( Please note: Attic bedroom is only accessible via bedroom 2). There is newly fitted modern bathroom with walk-in shower. Outside you can enjoy the fully enclosed private garden with timber decked seating area from where to take in the stunning views of the Packhorse Bridge and listen to the sound of the river Livet flowing past. PLEASE NOTE: Bridge Cottage is not suitable for children between 6 months and 10 years of age. Travel cot can be provided for infants. Guest access You will have the entire home , timber storage shed and gardens. There is a good size driveway with parking space for 2 cars. The garden is enclosed by a fence and two gates. There is a wood burning stove in the cottage with logs provided free of charge. The lockable shed is ideal for storing your outdoor kit, bikes or skis. Logs and kindling for the wood burning stove are also stored in the shed. Other things to note We like to meet and greet and show guests into Bridge Cottage on arrival. We can then answer any questions they may have and perhaps even suggest things to see and/or do. There is a “ KeySafe” locker in case we are not able to be there on arrival. The code for this will be provided to the our guests when the booking is confirmed. The nearest small shop is at the Ballindalloch post office/ fuel station, Aberlour and Dufftown both have a larger Cooperative supermarket.
