This barn is part of a charming Elizabethan country house built in the 15th century and set within 2 acres of immaculately maintained gardens where, as the legend goes, Queen Elizabeth I used to stop over to change her horses and rest overnight on her way to her Scottish residence at the Edinburgh Castle. The house was one the five properties hit by a rogue bomb during WWII and still has the features of the era it was built in.
