Your experience is centred around the unique wooden cabin, perfectly positioned for you to immerse yourself in this tranquil natural setting and observe the natural world around you. Explore the extent of these beautiful grounds, wandering along designated paths that wind through the mixed woodland and attractive gardens. Discover the serene water gardens and find the Ladywell spring. This spring, with a history stretching back centuries, its water formerly believed to be efficacious in the cure of eye diseases and still occasionally visited today for its reputed properties. Relax and unwind in our dedicated woodland hangout areas, thoughtfully equipped with fire pits, benches, and hammocks – ideal spots for truly disconnecting and enjoying the sounds of nature, including the adjacent stream that flows through the property and under a historic stone tunnel. Within these expansive grounds stands Ladywell, our charming former Lodge House, originally built in 1865. As our guest, you have access to key facilities here, including a fully renovated, well-equipped kitchen, a dedicated guest bathroom, and a utility room, all easily accessible to enhance the comfort of your woodland escape. Guest access Guests will enjoy exclusive private access to the charming wooden cabin, your personal sanctuary throughout your stay. You also have private use of the immediate garden area surrounding the cabin, which is where the sauna is located. For your convenience, guests have full access to 3 fully renovated rooms within the main Ladywell house, situated approximately 100 feet from the cabin: the well-equipped kitchen for cooking, a dedicated guest bathroom, and the utility room. Beyond the immediate cabin and house facilities, you are warmly invited to explore the expansive seven acres of our private ancient mixed woodland and gardens. Feel free to wander along the designated paths that wind through the woodland and attractive gardens, discover the serene water gardens, and relax in the dedicated woodland hangout areas equipped with fire pits, benches, and hammocks. During your stay We live on the property in the main Ladywell house. While your wooden cabin is designed to offer you a completely private and secluded retreat, we are usually on hand should you need anything at all or have any questions about the property or local area. We deeply respect your peace and privacy, so we won't intrude on your stay. However, please feel free to reach out via the Airbnb app if you need recommendations for exploring the local area, assistance with any of the facilities (including the gym or sauna), or if you're interested in firewood or our Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) rentals. Communicating through the app is the best way for us to ensure we receive your messages promptly and have a clear record of our communication. We're happy to help make your woodland escape as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Other things to note Please be aware that due to the natural features of the ancient woodland and gardens, including wells, steep areas, and uneven ground, our property is not suitable for children and we can only host adults. Using the sauna incurs a small charge of £10 per session to cover the cost of 100% clean electricity, towels, and essential oils provided for your comfort. Our property is situated within a private ancient woodland and a designated conservation area. To help us protect this special environment, we kindly ask that you do not leave any footprint in the woodland and always stay on the designated paths and within the provided hangout areas. The stream that runs through the property flows under a beautifully carved stone tunnel beneath the main house, a unique historical feature. We share our home with an abundance of wildlife. Please be mindful of the natural environment and respect our wild neighbours.
