The Source of Our Roots – Living Countryside & Authenticity A former family farmhouse restored with love, La Source de nos Roines welcomes you in the heart of the Avesnois Natural Park. Between stone, wood and soft light, it is a peaceful retreat where nature surrounds comfort and time seems to hang. With families or friends, enjoy a stay of authenticity, sharing, and serenity. The space In this lively house, everything invites you to step up! The Source of our Roots is a place of sharing, simplicity and kindness, designed to offer an authentic parenthesis to the gentle rhythm of the countryside. The ground floor includes large, friendly spaces: -Library lounge with books, games, record player and children's area. - Furnished kitchen and cozy dining room with fireplace and bright living room open to meadows where horses graze. A staircase with old-world charm leads upstairs and three spacious bedrooms (2 people each), all with private bathrooms and high-end bedding: - La Clef des Champs – floral and soothing atmosphere. - Le Chant des Oiseaux – green tones and bucolic atmosphere. - La Cavalière – elegant equestrian world, wood and leather. (Baby cot available on request) Outside, the terrace and wooded garden are perfect for meals, reading, or contemplating horses. Seasonally, enjoy the vegetable garden, bike, or explore the bocage trails. Cyclists, bikers, and riders find a welcoming and peaceful stopover. Horses can be accommodated in adjoining pastures, with ephemeral paddocks possible and access to rainwater. Labeled "Accueil Paysan", the cottage is part of a responsible tourism approach that respects nature, promoting conviviality, local discoveries and transmission of know-how. Guest access Guests have access to the whole cottage and all the adjoining outdoor spaces. A large free parking area is available on site, also suitable for bikers, who will find here a comfortable and secure stopover point. A secure space can be made available for bicycles to facilitate the stay for itinerant travelers or lovers of walks on the roads of Avesnois. Upon prior request, guests can access a large annex room arranged for various activities: yoga, dance (EVJF, workshops...), drawing, well-being or private meetings and events in a rural setting. The room has a video projector, bar with beer pump, dance floor and meeting board, offering a modular space for your needs. Access is only by reservation, so that we can prepare the room according to your expectations.
