Things to Know Guest access You'll use an electronic lock on the front door. Enter your 10-digit code, and the Schlage button will flash green - wait 3 seconds for the mechanism to fully disengage before pulling the handle down. The door automatically locks when you close it. If the Schlage light flashes red, press the button to reset, wait for it to turn green, and enter your code again. After 3 unsuccessful attempts, the system locks for 30 seconds before you can try again. Check-in is at 4pm and checkout is at 10am. During peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), early check-in is not available. Outside peak season, if an early check-in or late checkout is available for a fee, you'll receive an email or text offer. Standard check-in is 4pm and checkout is 10am. Other things to note The home includes two portable window A/C units, one in each bedroom. Please bring bug spray for outdoor activities - this beautiful Southern Maine coastal area is home to mosquitoes, black flies, ticks, sand fleas, spiders, beetles, ants, no-see-ums, beach flies, deer flies, and houseflies depending on the season. The property has monthly pest control, though complete elimination is not guaranteed. Seasonal amenities available May through September include a propane fire pit, gas grill, and outdoor furniture. The backyard sits on Barrells Mills Pond and is not suitable for swimming due to clam flats and tidal fluctuations, but it's wonderful for kayaking and paddle boarding.
