Nestled in a picturesque escarpment community overlooking the historic town of Dundas, The Hayloft is a charming getaway for anyone looking for an escape and a breath of fresh air. Relax in the steam shower inside or the hot tub on the fully private rooftop deck overlooking gardens. Take a nap on the lounge chairs. Visit with the chickens, make friends with the fish or the frogs. Unwind at night with a movie in bed, with breakfast (surcharge) in the morning. The space The Hayloft is a completely separate space above our main living space with a completely private entrance and a private rooftop deck that only you will have access to during your stay. Our home is surrounded by multiple gardens all connected by a continuous pathway, where you might run into Matt pruning a bush if you choose to explore them. If you like to be in nature, The Hayloft can be a fantastic base for you as you explore Webster Falls, Dundas Peak, the Dundas Conservation Area, Christie Lake, or golf one of the dozen courses within a 15-minute drive. There is a great variety of dining options in town, or you can easily have a meal delivered. The unit is complete with a kitchenette that has a counter top oven, toaster, kettle, cutlery, and dishware. Anything you need, you can let us know! When you arrive in the Hayloft we hope you will feel like you have escaped into your own world, and we want you to enjoy it. But please do know that we have neighbours, and we ask that you respect them by enjoying the outdoor areas reasonably quietly. Guest access Guests access the unit through a private entrance to the right of the main house. There is a sign that says "The Hayloft Dundas" indicating your entrance. We will provide a door code prior to your arrival. Other things to note BREAKFAST We offer a small but mighty breakfast which includes (per person) two freshly baked croissants with a selection of spreads, two hard boiled eggs from our own hens, a container of yogurt and some fresh fruit. A photo of the breakfast is on our profile. We ask $20 total for two guests, which can be paid through Airbnb. We just ask that you let us know by 9 pm the night before what time you would like it delivered in the morning. It will be left in your foyer after a gentle knock on the door. CLEANING There are no additional fees, and no cleaning fee. That said, we won't be cleaning the space during your stay. If your reservation is for one week or longer, we can arrange a mutually beneficial time to make cleaning arrangements. NOISE When you arrive in the Hayloft we hope you will feel like you have escaped into your own world, and we want you to enjoy it. But please do know that we have neighbours, and we ask that you respect them by enjoying the outdoor areas reasonably quietly. Also, please excuse us as we put some finishing touches on the exterior of the home. We won't be making any noise to disrupt you, nor will there be mess in the way, but we thought you should know!
