Nature/writers cottage

Cozy one-person cottage, on the Veluwe. A nice place for peace seekers, writers and nature lovers, with forest and cozy village within a 5-minute walking distance. The cottage (well insulated) is located in a green wild (back) garden (with its own outdoor area), has a warm outdoor shower and a simple toilet. Personal and comfortable - back to nature atmosphere. We – Cris and Carien, with our children and dogs – warmly welcome you and are happy to help you with tips for outings, walking or cycling routes! The space What makes the cottage special? • Directly in nature: Just a 2-minute walk and you are in the middle of the woods, with countless hiking and cycling nearby. Oosterbeek is known as one of the most beautiful hiking and cycling areas in the Netherlands. • Cozy village: In 5 minutes walk you are in the cozy village center of Oosterbeek, with a bakery, supermarket, nice shops and cozy eating and drinking places. • Close to Arnhem: In 10 to 15 minutes by bike you can reach the center of Arnhem and the station, with a good connection to other cities. There are many activities, museums, Burgers' Zoo, shopping streets. • Comfortably insulated cottage with private place to sit outside and wood stove. (We have wood for a small fee) A few things to keep in mind: • Dogs: Our two dogs (labradoodles) are enthusiastic and friendly, they will certainly greet you with great enthusiasm. Please note that other dogs are not welcome because of this. • Compost toilet and outdoor shower: The shower is a warm outdoor shower. The toilet is a compost toilet (always clean and fresh), which means you go to the toilet sitting down. No holes in the ground, but a little more "back to nature". • The water is drained to the garden: (sink and shower) That's why we use special organic soap, dish soap, shampoo and shower gel – all available in the cottage. • There is an induction plate (with pan) to heat up something. Cooler with cooling elements and kettle. Guest access • Entrance: The cottage is accessible via an alley and path, which means that it is less suitable for people with mobility problems.
