The town has many unusual and interesting architectural buildings, including the Old Town Hall, the Royal Hotel, the parish church and the museum. Tain is known for its picturesque Links Golf Course, designed by Tom Morris. A wee dram of the world famous Glenmorangie whisky can be enjoyed by players at the 19th hole! Glenmorangie Distillery and Balblair Distillery are both well worth a visit and just a short drive from Lyndale Lodge. A visit to Dornoch is a must, a hidden gem in the Scottish Highlands. Renowned for its impressive golf courses, authentic cuisine, stunning golden sands, annual festivals and pipe band parades. Dornoch's iconic cathedral is the most northerly cathedral on the British Mainland, open daily to all to share in its history and beauty, standing proud in the heart of the town.
