Description
Sockeye Cabin located at Nash Bayfront Campground in Seward, Alaska. Log cabin is surrounded by the scenery of mountains, City of Seward, boat harbor, and a far reaching view of Resurrection Bay. Natural beauty of wetlands full of wildlife such as eagles, swans, ducks, river otters, moose, and sometimes brown and black bears. Adjacent to salmon stream with access to the ocean for recreational fishing from beach. The space Sockeye Cabin is a 5 minute drive to downtown Seward, and a 10 minute drive to Kenai Fjords National Park and Exit Glacier. This cabin was built for the views offering unmatched scenery of Resurrection Bay, City of Seward, the surrounding mountains, and various wildlife. Cabin was built a few feet from a creek, and a couple hundred feet from a salmon stream. A three minute hike will get you to the ocean beach, which offers more wildlife viewing and fishing. The world famous Sockeye (Red) salmon can be caught off the beach. We also have Chum (Dog/Keta), Pink (Humpback), and Silver (Coho) salmon in our rivers. Annually, the salmon spawn and run up the adjacent river and creek system, and into our creek next to the cabins when reaching their spawning beds. This cabin can sleep 4 comfortably: custom-made Alaskan log queen-size bed, and a spacious king-size fold out couch (all linens & spare blankets provided). Kitchen has all the essentials (Fridge, Stove/Oven, Microwave, Keurig Coffee Maker, teapot, pots/pans, dishes, silverware). Bathroom has shower bar with adjustable height for shower head (towels & essentials provided). The viewing deck has 4 chairs and 2 small tables. The outside space has a private propane barbeque grill, picnic table, 4 camp chairs, fire ring with cooking grate, and get ready for gorgeous views. Guest access Designated parking at the cabin with room for several vehicles. Cabin is elevated, and there are 7 stairs leading to the door with keypad entry. Other things to note The campground has quiet hours 11:00PM-7:00AM that are enforced for everyone's enjoyment.
