Hello,welcome to our house! We offer a nice private bedrooms in our spacious home, a shared living room, kitchen, bathrooms for our guests, warm homey atmosphere for a good rest .In our home we speak in many languages: English, Polish,Russian,Italian and Icelandic.Since a year we have one member of our family more. A small cat. But unfortunately ,he is more outside then inside. Russian blue. When he is inside,he loves everyone.( touristic licence HG-00016128) The space Akranes is just a stone's throw away from the capital largest town in West Iceland with the population 6630. The Museum Area at Gardar is without a doubt the cultural centre of Akranes and a popular destination for tourists. Not far from there is the highly-praised 18-hole Gardavollur golf course and, likewise, the Gardalundur outdoor area with a playground for children of all ages. The swimming pool at Jadarsbakki are also just a few minutes from the Museum Area. If you are into photography or just interested in exploring new things in Iceland you need to look at Akranes lighthouses. Down by the harbour you will notice two lighthouses. The bigger one that is currently in use is open to the public so you can go up and enjoy the view from there and there is even a photography exhibition to enjoy in there. From Reykjavik City Centre to Akranes 49 km. There is a regular bus service from Reykjavik to Akranes several times a day. Guesthouses, camping site, restaurant, café, museum, swimming pool and an 18- hole golf course. In our house ,using both offers 4 to 5 people can stay and sleep.Yeah! Guest access Welcome to a cozy Norwegian-style house. We offer two rooms with double beds. The possibility of access to the kitchen, barbecue, garden and jacuzzi. For our guests, we also have to offer traditional Icelandic lamb soup served with a warm baguette (price 2000 Icelandic crowns ), or, after agreeing with the owner, a warm meal served in the evening. They may be the local seafood served in a creamy lemon sauce. Akranes is one of the best bases of Iceland. We are close to Reykjavik. Also nearby is Thvingellir and Geyser National Park and the highest waterfall in Iceland Glymur . If you go more north, you will be awaited by the beautiful Snaefellsnes peninsula. And our city Akranes will allow you to rest and take a break from the speeding life. We invite you !!!!! Other things to note VERY IMPORTANT!!!!! Our rooms are DOUBLE ( doublebed!!!! Not two single). It is not possible to add an extra bed. If you are traveling in a four, or THREE you must reserve two rooms. And again, you are not renting a small summer house. This is regular ,big house. We are living there too :))))))
