Little Cottage

Switch off and recharge your batteries: our little cottage is a place where you can be close to nature without missing out on the modern luxuries of a hot shower, a comfortable bed and Wi-Fi access. You will find everything you need for a little break in the countryside on 65 cosy square metres. One hour from busy Berlin, the cottage is located in the centre of a sleepy little village between woods, meadows and water. The space Follow in the footsteps of great poets and thinkers: explore nature like Alexander von Humboldt, find your way back to your roots like Thoreau, see the world from above like Lilienthal or hike through the Mark Brandenburg and immortalise your experiences in travelogues like Theodor Fontane once did... *Nature lovers can gaze at the stars at night, be woken by the call of the cranes or the hammering of the woodpecker and watch the deer and wild rabbits having breakfast early in the morning while doing yoga on the terrace with a view of the forest. In summer, our garden is a paradise for bird watching. In addition to tits and wagtails, green woodpeckers, orioles and pied flycatchers also live in the neighbouring forest. *In the western Havelland region, many people have set off for new shores and soared to unexpected heights. The first human flight by Otto Lilienthal, after whom Berlin's new BER airport is named, took place just a few kilometres away. From the Götzer Berg observation tower, a historically significant surveying point, you can let your gaze wander across the Havel through the Brandenburg region all the way to Berlin. The region can be wonderfully explored by bike along numerous well-known cycle paths such as the Havelradweg or the Werderaner Ostweg. If you prefer the water, you can always find a welcome refreshment in the bathing ponds 400 metres away or take a boat trip on the Havel, 900 metres away. *Bookworms will not only find a well-stocked library (for young and old) in our little cottage, but also the right place to write their own lines. Fans of Loriot's humour can go in search of pugs in his birthplace of Brandenburg an der Havel. By the way: Loriot's stage name is the French word for oriole. The bird is the heraldic animal of the von Bülow family and can often be heard here in the forest. *There are plenty of books, puzzles, games, craft materials, a giant trampoline, swings and a sandpit to keep younger guests entertained. However, due to the very steep stairs (and the wood-burning stove in winter), parents should always keep an eye on the little ones. In short: whether you're "forest bathing", dozing in a hammock under the trees, listening to the birdsong or having a games evening by the wood-burning stove - there's plenty to discover and try out in our little cottage. Guest access Keys are deposited in the key safe at the accommodation. Other things to note Fire in the garden: We have a fire bowl and enough wood for a campfire in the garden. As we live next to a pine forest, please note the following: Only place the fire bowl at the front of the garden next to the carport. Avoid flying sparks and do not make an open fire in the garden from forest fire level 3. If in doubt, just ask beforehand. A note for families with small children: Our property is fenced in and there is no water in the immediate vicinity. Plenty of toys, craft materials, puzzles and books will keep children aged 0 - 99 busy. Unfortunately, our small staircase to the upper floor is very steep and the wood-burning stove in the winter months makes constant supervision of the little ones unavoidable.
