Little Cottage
Description
Unwind and recharge: Our small cottage is a place where you can be very close to nature without giving up the modern luxury of a hot shower, a comfortable bed and Wi-Fi access. According to the motto "small but nice," everything you need for a small break in the countryside can be found on 65 cozy square meters. An hour from the capital, the cottage is located in the middle of a sleepy little village between forest, meadows and water. The space Follow in the footsteps of great poets and thinkers: explore nature like Alexander von Humboldt, return to your roots like Thoreau, look at the world from above like Lilienthal or hike through Mark Brandenburg and immortalize your experiences in travel diaries like Theodor Fontane… * Nature lovers can watch stars at night, be awakened by the call of cranes or the hammering of woodpeckers, and watch deer and wild rabbits at breakfast early in the morning while doing yoga on the terrace overlooking the forest. In summer, our wild garden is a paradise for birdwatching. *In the western Havelland, many have set off for new shores and swung to unexpected heights: From the Götzer Berg lookout tower, a historically significant survey point, you can let your gaze wander over the Havel through the Brandenburg countryside to Berlin. Otto Lilienthal's first human flight, after which the new Berlin airport BER is named, took place a few kilometers away. Along numerous well-known cycling trails such as the Havelradweg or Werderaner Obstweg, the region can be wonderfully explored by bike. If you prefer the water, you will always find a welcome refreshment in the swimming ponds 400 m away or you can sail across the Havel 900 m away. *Bookworms will not only find a well-stocked library (for all ages) in our small cottage, but also the right place to write their own lines. Fans of Loriot's humor can go on a search for pugs in his birthplace of Brandenburg an der Havel. By the way: The artist name Loriot is the French word for oriole. The bird is the heraldic animal of the von Bülow family and can also be heard more often in our forest. *For the little guests, plenty of books, puzzles, games, craft materials, a giant trampoline, swing or sandbox provide variety. Due to the very steep stairs (and the wood-burning stove in winter), parents should always keep an eye on the little ones. In short, whether it's “forest bathing,” in the hammock, listening to the birds or an evening of games by the wood-burning stove – there is plenty to discover and try out in our small cottage. Guest access The key is stored in the key safe at the property. Other things to note Fire in the garden: We have a fire pit and enough wood for a campfire in the garden. Since we live directly next to a pine forest, please note the following: Only place the fire pit in the front area of the garden next to the carport. Avoid flying sparks and do not make an open fire in the garden from forest fire level 3. If in doubt, just ask beforehand. Note for families with small children: Our property is fenced and there are no waters in the immediate vicinity. Lots of toys, crafts, puzzles and books ensure the best entertainment for children between 0 – 99 years. Unfortunately, our small staircase to the upper floor is very steep and the wood-burning stove in the winter months also makes constant supervision of the little ones unavoidable.
