Relax with family or friends in this warm and sunny farm cottage in rural Fife. Sitting close to Freuchie village on the road between Freuchie and Newton of Falkland, West Cottage is a great place to bring your dog and enjoy hiking, biking, golf, and touring Central Scotland. Edinburgh, Dundee, Stirling and Perth are within a 50 minute drive. St Andrews and the beautiful Fife beaches and harbours are even closer. For rainy days and evenings there is a Smart TV. The space West Cottage is all on one level with one small step in the bedroom hallway. There a 3 bedrooms, a king size bedroom with small ensuite, 2 superking rooms which can both convert to twin, and a family bathroom, with bath and walk in shower. Usual configuration is 1 king, 1 superking and 1 twin room but we can change on request. There is a sunny conservatory leading to the side garden. The main room is a bright, warm, sunny space with open plan kitchen dining and TV/lounge area. West Cottage is pet friendly. And the garden can be closed in. The property benefits from gas central heating throughout. West Cottage is a semi detached cottage and sits at the side of a country road linking Freuchie and Falkland. Guest access There is private parking for 3 cars to the rear of the property. The cottage is accessed using the lock box key at the back door. The front door opens onto a narrow walled and gated front garden which exits onto a roadside pavement leading into Freuchie and Newton of Falkland and Falkland village to the West. Lock box codes are sent 24 hours prior to arrival and check in is 4pm. Other things to note There is a well stocked Spar shop in Freuchie which is 10 minutes walk from the property. For a treat, book a table at the Boars Head Inn, Auchtermuchty. The Covenantor in Falkland has outdoor seating on the square, which is a lovely way to relax on a sunny day. The Stag in Falkland is a delightful French bistro serving delicious food and excellent value French wine. Helen’s Bakery in Falkland makes fabulous cakes and is famous for her homemade meat pies.
