Relax with your whole family at this peaceful cottage on a private lake, you will enjoy listening to the birds and sipping your coffee on the deck with magnificent views and sunsets. There is plenty to do nearby as you will be 8 minutes from Angola and 20 minutes from Auburn. Take a ride on the Nickel Plate Road #765 steam train! You will love the large yard, fire pit, deck, and basketball hoop. Kayaks, paddle boat, and a private dock are available for you to use. The space Gooseneck Lake Cottage has fabulous views of the beautiful private lake. Fully furnished lake home has all you need to enjoy some peace and quiet. A fully stocked kitchen, laundry room with washer and dryer, books, games, new deck, plenty of parking, and very large yard make this cottage a relaxing getaway. There is a slope to get from the house down to the lake. Three separate bedrooms are available to accommodate 7 guests, the MBR has a California king bed and an ensuite bathroom, the second bedroom has a full sized bed, and the third bedroom has a twin over full bunk. Additional guests may be added by request as we have airbeds that can be brought in. We do ask that if you use the kayaks or paddle boat please put them back on shore flipped over to prevent filling up with rain water. Guest access You have the whole house to yourself. Other things to note This is a relatively rural area so you may hear the usual occasional sounds of rural living such as a tractor or cows. We have chickens next door so do not be surprised if one wanders into the front yard, we do have a rooster who is reasonably quiet. The Nickel Plate Road #765 steam train runs out of the Pleasant Lake train depot as well as Angola. Operated by the Fort Wayne Historical Railroad Society, this train is amazing and well worth experiencing. Book trips on the Indiana Rail Experience website. You may even hear the old fashioned train whistle off in the distance while staying at our Airbnb, feel free to go to the Pleasant Lake depot (1469 West Main Street) to see the train while it is there.
