Drawell Cottage is a charming detached 17th century classic country cottage set on the fringes of the Yorkshire Dales in the foothills of the Howgill Fells and close to the the attractive small town of Sedbergh. You couldn't ask for a more secluded, peaceful location with superb views. Although Drawell Cottage dates from the 17th century, it certainly has the modern comforts expected these days, including central heating and a modern kitchen. The space Set on a typical Cumbrian cattle and sheep farm in its own separate area, this cottage ticks the boxes for couples or families looking for a comfortable property with plenty of outdoor space and great views. It's all about the location here as you have best of all worlds - an 'away from it all' quiet location, a short (10 minute) drive into the town of Sedbergh with all its attractions and great places to eat, loads of walks in superb quiet scenery, and easy access further into the Yorkshire Dales, or the Lake District. Enter into the spacious lounge with a classic Inglenook fireplace, original 17th century beams and far-reaching views over the countryside spread out before you. Settle down on the comfortable sofas and enjoy the peace and quiet - and when it's time to dine, there is a dining table to gather around. Just off the lounge is the well-laid-out kitchen which has been recently re-fitted with modern fittings and appliances, and also boasts great views for the chef. Upstairs to the two bedrooms which are both a decent size. The first bedroom has a Kingsize bed, fitted carpet, solid oak furniture, character original beam and views over the valley. The second bedroom is a twin and again has lovely oak furniture storage. A few steps along to the spacious family bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubicle, and yet another lovely view! Outside, you have a choice of garden / patio areas. To the rear is a good-size lawned area with children's swings. To the front and side, there is a patio area with outdoor furniture, ideal for a drink while admiring the views. On the fringes of the farm, the famous Dales Way route passes on its way between the start at Ilkley and end point at Bowness on Windermere. Ground Floor: Lounge / dining area is an open-plan area. Three seater sofa, coffee table, Smart TV. Kitchen with electric oven with grill, electric hob, fridge, freezer (in pantry area), washing machine, tumble dryer. Dining area with wooden dining table seating four. Pantry area with shelving and a freezer. Upstairs: The first bedroom has a Kingsize bed, oak wardrobes and chest of drawers, bedside tables with lamps. Second bedroom has twin beds (3ft),oak wardrobe, chest of drawers, and bedside table with lamp. House bathroom has a bath, a separate shower, basin and WC. Outside: Grassed rear garden with children's swing set. Patio area with a bistro set, and wooden table with seating for four. Garden area is not fully enclosed and is therefore not fully secure for dogs. Other things to note Ample parking space for two cars. Up to 2 dogs are permitted at £10 per dog. Dogs must not be left unattended at the property. Note that the property is on a working farm with livestock (sheep and cows) and dogs must be on a lead in the farm area. The outside area is not enclosed.  Dogs must not be permitted on the furniture or beds and owners must clear up after their dogs. Smoking, vaping, use of candles and incense sticks is strictly forbidden. Charcoal barbecue - fuel not provided.
