If you take a right and cross the bridge, you can walk along the river into town (about 30 minutes), or take a left and cross the bridge and it'll take you to the Lagan Meadows, a beautiful place to stroll in the sunshine. Our recommendations for the area: Best pubs- The Pavilion (delicious burgers and pool tables up stairs). The Errigle Inn has a good outdoor beer garden and live music most nights, including an Irish music session. Best ice cream - Al Gelato -hands down best ice cream in town, and Al is a local! Best liquor store- the Vineyard has a brilliant selection of local beers and delicious wines and spirits. The guys in there know their stuff, so if you are looking for a recommendation, they're brilliant (just don't be in a rush!) Best coffee- Kaffe-O does a tasty strong flat white, General Merchants does a nice milder flat white. If you're looking for a sugar hit, their peanut butter balls are also next level. Best bakery- Bread and Banjo. Gorgeous scones, the gf peanut butter cookies are tremendous and their sourdough is amazing. If you're going on a Saturday morning, get there quick as the queue gets massive! Best lunch spot- 387 Ormeau road is a learning disability and Autism friendly cafe. Great service, delicious food and lots of veggie/vegan options. You'll leave with a smile on your face. Best Dinner spot- Charlie's. The best pizza you'll have in Belfast. Buy it by the slice (spicy pepperoni is delicious), made with wholesome ingredients by lovely humans. The owner is from the street and started making pizza in lockdown. Great for dinner or lunch.
