The mountains are calling! Escape to our cozy, yet modern, Blue Hour A-Frame located in the rustic AuSable Acres neighborhood. The fenced backyard is carefree for your pups to play in while you enjoy the hot tub & fire pit. Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort is 11 miles/20 minutes away, by way of a scenic notch along the West Branch of the Ausable River. Lake Placid is 20 miles/35 minutes away. Dogs welcome at $75 per dog (no cats, please), per stay, up to two dogs. No cats due to guest allergies. The space Our updated A-Frame log cabin is nestled on almost one acre, surrounded by birch and pine trees. The main space is open with high vaulted ceilings and windows that fill the space with natural light. Here you can enjoy the living room with the cozy warmth of the propane stove, record player, smart TV, workspace, and dining area. The kitchen is well-appointed. Also on the main floor are the primary bedroom with a king bed, bathroom, and a sitting room with a full-sized pull-out couch where the washer & dryer are located. Additional sleeping is located upstairs in the loft where you will find a comfortable queen bed. PLEASE NOTE: The stairs to the second bedroom are shallow and steep. The backyard is fenced so your pups can run and play while you relax on the deck, or enjoy time spent by the chiminea. The hot tub is waiting for you. Guest access Winter Advisory: Blue Hour's driveway is plowed regularly but it is somewhat steep and is a challenge for some vehicles. It is advisable to have snow tires or 4 wheel / all wheel drive vehicles for this driveway. Spring/Summer/Fall Advisory: The deck is cleared the day of your arrival however, pollen, leaves and pine needles accumulate quickly in this heavily wooded neighborhood. An outdoor broom is provided for you. Day before arrival: property address, custom keypad code, and other relevant information will arrive via the booking platform's message system or, if provided, to your email address the day before your arrival. Please Note: This property has an exterior security camera at the front door entry that overlooks the parking area. Stairs to the loft second bedroom are shallow and steep. Stairs are present for both interior and exterior. TV: streaming only Neighborhood Quiet Hours: 9:00 pm to 8:00 am Furniture should not be moved. Smoking and vaping are not allowed with the home. Underage drinking is not permitted. The hot tub should remain covered when not in use. Please be mindful when children are near the hot tub. No unauthorized guests permitted. Failure to comply will result in a $500 fine and guests will be asked to vacate without refund. What we provide: 1 roll of paper towels 2 rolls of toilet paper 3 laundry pods Shampoo, conditioner, body soap Hand and dish soaps 1 washcloth, a bath towel and a hot tub towel per guest Charcoal grill - Charcoal is sold at local stores. Firewood bundles for the outside chiminea may be purchased locally at roadside stands and in stores such as Au Sable Forks Stewart's Shops and Wilmington Mobil (cash only at Mobil). Do not use the grill by the windows Air / Heat: Minisplit (use remote control to adjust) and propane fireplace. AuSable Acres HOA Amenities: Please offer our address if asked for the HOA amenities pass. Hiking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing Lake access including: pavilion, grill, playground, ball fields, volleyball & basketball courts (lake is not recommended for swimming) Ausable River fishing at the end of Signor Rd. (NYS fishing licenses required Tennis / pickleball - access code required Trash: We ask that Wednesday evening guests place bagged trash & unbagged recycling into their respective Casella collection bins for Thursday morning collection and have them at the road. Bins are stationed behind the tree marked 67 at the road and should remain there. Please flatten cardboard. Dog Friendly - Wilmington, NY Hiking: Flume Trails, Cobble Lookout Trail, Jay Mountain Trail, Whiteface Landing Trail Restaurants - Outdoor Dining: R.F. McDougall's Pub, Little Super Market Deli, Up A Creek Restaurant & Bar Water Fun: Ausable River, in particular, The Flume area. Pet Friendly Shops & Events: Wilmington Farmers' Market, High Falls Gorge (leashed dogs in some areas) Dog Friendly - Lake Placid Area Hiking: Henry's Woods (Lake Placid), Baxter Mountain (Keene) Dog Friendly Breweries/Café: Big Slide Brewery & Public House, The Cottage (both Lake Placid) Occasionally, dependent upon our cleaning schedule and other bookings, we might be able to accommodate an early check-in or late check-out (up to 2:00 pm for late). 12:00 pm -1:59 pm for early check-in and 12:01 pm - 2:00 pm for late check-out would be $50 each.
