While the roads are maintained, weather conditions can change quickly — especially in late spring and early fall when blizzards are still possible. A 4x4 or AWD vehicle is strongly recommended for your safety and convenience. Provisions & Essentials There are no grocery stores in Guffey, so we highly recommend purchasing food, health essentials, and any other necessities before your arrival. The closest towns with full services are Cañon City and Woodland Park. What We Provide To help you settle in, your host provides: • Welcome snacks • K-cups and bottled water • Shampoo, conditioner, and soap House Rules • Absolutely no smoking or vaping indoors – A $500 fine will be charged for violations. • Cigarette disposal must be done only in the designated sand-filled container. Wildlife Awareness We share this beautiful location with local wildlife — including bears. • Do not leave food or trash outside. • Place all trash in the provided bins and ensure the lids are securely locked. Fire Safety Only YOU can prevent forest fires. • No open or man-made fires are permitted. • Always follow current local fire restrictions and warnings.
