The space Blue Skye Cabin is a modern-rustic retreat nestled among the trees at the foot of Guanella Pass (officially designated National Forest and Colorado Scenic Byway). One of nine modern cabins at Lostfork Basecamp, this one-bedroom stay blends modern comforts and simplicity. Blue Skye is at the end of the row, offering our most private setting, still just steps away from our outdoor community center. The cabin sleeps up to four, with a queen bed and a comfortable sleeper sofa, and is filled with soft natural light, clean lines, and styles that mirror the forest outside. A kitchenette including a mini fridge, hot plate, and convection microwave makes it easy to prepare light meals, with grills and a smoker available outside for more ambitious cooking. The open layout and vaulted ceilings invite you to look up and out at the trees and mountains surrounding the site. Inside, you’ll have an intimate spot for meals, card games while finishing off the night after a day on the trail. You can look out the large windows at the trees or up at the stars, and dream up your next adventure. Or refresh with a well-deserved reset in the sleek full bathroom with an ultra-modern feel. Spend the morning outside on your own covered patio, where morning coffee or creekside daydreaming feels like your own little retreat. Or you can unwind in your private hot tub, nestled just outside your cabin. Steps away, guests also have access to LostFork’s on-site outdoor community center, which includes a creekside sauna, cold plunge, grill station, and fire pit. Situated at the base of the renowned Guanella Pass Scenic Byway, this location provides unparalleled access to Colorado's majestic mountain adventures. It is only a short drive east to Bailey, or west to Fairplay. Scenic Beauty & Outdoor Adventures Grant serves as the southern gateway to the Guanella Pass Scenic Byway, a 22-mile route traversing the Arapaho and Pike National Forests. This picturesque drive is open seasonally and ascends to elevations over 11,600 feet, offering breathtaking views and access to numerous outdoor activities on the way to Georgetown on the other side. Breckenridge and Mt. Princeton Hot Springs: Just 1 hour and 1.5 hours west, respectively. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cabin, outdoor community center, creekside saunas, and natural cold plunge. Other things to note (Bookings and guest experience are professionally managed by Effortless Rental Group) • The Outdoor Community Center also includes men’s and women’s restrooms, each equipped with two showers and toilets for added convenience. • Each cabin features a kitchenette, ideal for simple meal prep, but not intended for large or complex meals. • *NO A/C - There is no air conditioning, as the summer in the mountains is very temperate.* • PET RULES - MAX of 2 dogs allowed; $50 per pet, and you will be held responsible for damages; Please inquire with us for more details before booking; Please keep pets off of the beds and furniture. A $50 fee will be incurred if pet waste is not picked up.
