We recommend arriving during daylight, if possible. ***** RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER, AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK The Undersigned ("Guest"), a short-term vacation renter of the property commonly known as Hunter's Lodge (the “Property”) owned by Bryan Morgan (“Owner”), acknowledges and agrees: Guest Liability Waiver: By booking this property, you acknowledge and accept all risks associated with your stay, including but not limited to interactions with ungroomed terrain, wildlife, and other hazards. You agree to follow all house rules and local laws, and to report any damages immediately. The property owner is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or losses that occur on the premises. This waiver extends to all members of your party, including family members, guests, and invitees. Indemnification and Assumption of Risk: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the property owner from any claims, liabilities, or expenses arising from your stay. This includes any legal fees incurred due to your actions or negligence. You assume full responsibility for any risks of injury, death, or property damage while on the property. By booking this property, you confirm that you have read and understood these terms and agree to comply with them. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home. Ample privacy on the property which is surrounded by old growth forest. Wildlife such as black bears and mountain lions have been sighted in the area, so walking alone especially in the dark is not recommended. We own 14 acres which mostly comprises the steep driveway slope and some of the forest up the hill across from the house. Our land also continues past the shed to the left down the gravel road (instead of turning right where you exit the property). Please do not go past the locked gate with the tall wooden posts at this location. Please note, the garage is currently closed to guests. Other things to note 1) No Parties or Events – The cabin has a strict 6-person maximum occupancy policy. 2) No Pets – To maintain a clean and allergy-friendly space, we do not allow pets. 3) 4WD Required – The driveway is steep and unpaved, so a 4WD vehicle is necessary to reach the cabin safely. 4) Daylight Arrival Recommended – For easier access, we highly recommend arriving before dark to open the gate and navigate the driveway. 5) Wildlife Awareness – You’re welcome to explore the surrounding forest at your own risk. Local wildlife includes black bears, mountain lions, and bobcats, so bear spray is recommended, and we advise against wandering outside at night. 6) Security & Wildlife Cameras – There are a few exterior cameras to monitor wildlife and ensure security.
