Nestled in a peaceful meadow, this charming two-bedroom, one-bath cottage offers breathtaking sunrises, glowing sunsets, and the occasional glimpse of deer grazing nearby. Our peaceful countryside cottage sits on 5 quiet acres, offering a relaxing retreat in a rural setting. While you’ll feel tucked away from the hustle and bustle, we’re still within reasonable driving distance of Knoxville, Maryville, and the Great Smoky Mountains for day trips and exploring. Guest access Guests have access to everything on the main level of the home. There is one owner’s closet that will remain locked, but otherwise, every room and feature is yours to use and enjoy during your stay. Other things to note Since our cottage is in a rural setting, you may encounter some of the realities of country life, like more bugs than you’d find in the city and occasional wildlife sightings. We also have a friendly dog, Holly (a Lab-terrier mix), who stays on a wireless fence and may bark from time to time — we do our best to keep it brief, but a few barks or critters are part of the charm of staying in the country! If you’d prefer that we keep Holly more contained during your stay, please don’t hesitate to let us know. You’ll also see our two elementary-aged kids playing and exploring outside. We live on the property ourselves, about 300 feet away, so we’re nearby if you need anything. You can take a walk down the street our property is on for a nice view of the lake, but please note that our property itself is not on the lake and doesn’t offer direct lake access. However, drivable public access to the lake is available about six minutes away.
