Stay at Amaltas Farm, our 7-acre organic retreat with a cozy 2BHK, private garden & terrace. Safe for kids and fully pet-friendly, the farm is home to cows, buffaloes, hens, and our dogs Rocky & Mowgli. Wander through orchards, bamboo canopies, and butterfly paths, or simply enjoy slow mornings with fresh air. Meals are made from our own harvest of grains, veggies, dairy, and eggs. End your day under a sky full of stars for an unforgettable farm escape. The space Nearest train station: Gwalior (20 mins) | Nearest airport: Gwalior (40 mins) Amaltas FarmStay is conveniently located on the main highway (NH 44), with easy access by road. Our 2-bedroom farmhouse offers a spacious, welcoming stay. The ground floor has a cozy living room connected to an open kitchen, along with one bedroom. Upstairs, two bedrooms open onto a large terrace, perfect for relaxing under the sky. The house is set within a fenced area with a lawn, swing, and benches where bonfires can be arranged on request. Beyond this, our 7-acre farm stretches out with seasonal crops, orchards, and walking paths. Guests can visit the cow shed and hen coop, where you’ll meet our buffaloes (Chandi, Sonam, Kaju, Kishmish, Chanchal), cows (Gauri, Sunheri, Bhoori), and hens. Our friendly farm dogs, Rocky & Mowgli, also love making new friends. We have a caretaker’s house nearby, and two daytime staff members who ensure the farm runs smoothly. They will not disturb you but are happy to share about our permaculture and natural farming practices if you wish to learn. Guest access Guests can access the entire farm, other than staff house. When interacting with the animals on the farm, in the cow shed or with our farm dogs, please ask the staff to come with you so that the guests and the animals can be introduced to each other properly. Other things to note 🌿 House Rules & Notes for Guests Please treat the farm as your own home — this is a working farm, not a resort. If you have any special requirements, let us know at booking and we’ll try our best to accommodate. ⚡ Power & Cooling: We have a rural electricity connection backed by solar power, with a generator for emergencies. Most of the year AC is not needed, except in peak summer. Please be mindful of consumption. 🥗 Meals: We serve simple, home-cooked vegetarian meals with fresh farm produce. Non-vegetarian meals are available on request. A few local eateries are nearby. 🍳 Kitchen: Equipped with essentials — cooking utensils, cutlery, and RO water. 🚭 Smoking: Not allowed indoors. Please dispose of waste properly if smoking outside. 🧘 Peaceful Stay: This is a quiet, nature-centred space away from city noise. We encourage guests to slow down and soak in the rhythm of farm life. 🪪 Check-In: Please carry government ID at the time of check-in. 🌱 Ecological Area: The farm is shared with birds, insects, and other species — we live in coexistence. 🌦 Seasons: The farm changes with every season. Winter and monsoon are the most pleasant times to visit, while April–June is hot but still enjoyable in the mornings and evenings. 📍 Nearby Places to Visit Mansingh’s Raas Leela Ghar of Barai – a heritage site with cultural significance. Gwalior Fort – a majestic hill fort with palaces and temples. Tigra Dam – scenic spot for boating and picnics. Nalkeshwar Dham – a temple with natural caves and a waterfall (best in monsoon). Kaner Jhiri – a serene natural stream and picnic spot. Old Jain Temples – ancient caves and rock-cut temples. Dev Kho – a forested area with water pools, ideal for treks. Sun Temple (Surya Mandir) – beautiful sandstone temple inspired by Konark. Gopachal Parvat – rock-cut Jain sculptures dating back to the 7th century. Sarod Ghar – a museum of Indian classical music in Ustad Hafiz Ali Khan’s home. Scindia Palace (Jai Vilas Palace) – a grand palace with one of the world’s largest chandeliers.
