Glantons Cottage

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The space Glantons Cottage is a traditional stone cottage which is over 250 years old. It's one bedroomed with an open plan living/dining room with an open fireplace. It retained its thick stone white washed walls when it was renovated in the 1980's and a kitchen and bathroom was added. The ceilings are low and from the living room steps lead up into the bedroom and down to the kitchen. Electric heating is installed and a starter firepack is provided. Guest access Guests have the use of the property to themselves. Other things to note Glantons Cottage was originally built on a rock. The opening into the bedroom from the living area has the lovely feature of a rock step. The entrance leading to the door is shaped on a rock and it is not suitable for any mobility issues and is not wheelchair accessibly. The cottage can host two adult guests comfortably but is not child friendly. An open stream flows through the garden. The cottage is located 3 km from the market town of Skibbereen.
