Description

Endless Beach at Your Doorstep – A Pure Nature Sanctuary The space Wake up to the sound of waves and step directly onto a wild, endless beach. Carpe Diem is a remote, off-grid sanctuary for those seeking deep connection with nature, digital detox, and a slower pace of life. Nestled on Isla Los Brasiles, our eco-retreat is only accessible by boat at high tide (1 USD) or by foot at low tide, followed by a 20-minute horse cart ride (5 USD) through the forest—an adventure in itself! There are no shops on the island. The nearest town, Poneloya, is where you’ll find the boat to cross, with Las Peñitas just 5 minutes away by taxi and León 20 minutes further after crossing the river. 🏡The Space We offer four handcrafted cabañas—Agua, Tierra, Viento, and Fuego—built with love for those who want to stay close to the beach, embrace pure nature, and reconnect with themselves. Each cabaña is equipped with mosquito nets as well as fresh linen and bedsheets for your comfort. Each cabaña provides a truly off-grid experience for 1-2 people, with no electricity or WiFi inside, ensuring uninterrupted immersion in the natural rhythms of the island. You can hear the waves and feel the earth beneath your feet. We are currently working on attached bathrooms, with Cabaña Tierra being the first to have its own composting toilet and shower. Until then, our shared amenities, open-air shower and composting toilets provide a sustainable and grounding way of living. What You’ll Love ✨Secluded, untouched beach stretching for kilometers ✨Digital detox with no WiFi (though good phone (internet) connection is available) ✨Spacious yoga shala for peaceful practice ✨Vegetarian meals prepared with fresh, local ingredients ✨A warm, welcoming atmosphere where we hold space for your retreat Meals We are a family of three and take care of your meals with nourishing, locally sourced vegetarian food. There is no communal kitchen or place to store or prepare your own food—meals are provided exclusively by us. Meal plans (not included in the accommodation fee) are available as follows: • Half board (15 USD per day) – Includes breakfast and dinner • Full board (20 USD per day) – Includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner • Additional Extras can be provided upon request 🚢 Check-in is only possible until 6 PM as boats do not operate after this time. Please plan your arrival accordingly. Guest access Carpe Diem is home to only us (including our 3-year old son, our two puppies and one cat), our indigenous caretaker, and our guests. Most of the time, you’ll have the entire beach to yourself—20 kilometers of untouched coastline without another soul in sight. Other things to note We offer Extras, such as: 🌿Massage 🌿Energetic Bodywork 🌿Natural Building Workshops upon request For those who need occasional social interaction or activities, there is a place 10 minutes down the beach with a bar, WiFi, surfing, volleyball, dancing, and yoga. Come and experience the magic of raw nature, where the ocean, wind, and simple island life are your only distractions. Disconnect to reconnect at Carpe Diem.
