The space The cottage accommodates up to 5 guests with a queen bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a couch suitable for a 5th guest. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, a large lakeside deck with outdoor dining and a Weber grill, and a spacious new 16' x 20' dock perfect for swimming, fishing, boating, or simply relaxing by the water. Guest amenities include a canoe, paddle boat, stand-up paddleboard, kids' paddleboard, dockside chaise loungers, and a Solo Stove fire pit. Nature lovers will appreciate the nearby wetland island, charming arched bridge, and abundant birdlife that make Rose Lake a unique and peaceful getaway. Whether you're enjoying a sunrise paddle, a day on the water, or an evening around the fire, Rose of the Woods Cottage is designed for making lasting lake memories. Guest access Guests enjoy exclusive access to the cottage, lakeside yard, large deck, private dock, fire pit area, and storage shed. The shed contains outdoor chairs, yard games, fishing rods, and a selection of life jackets for guest use. Outdoor amenities include a canoe, paddle boat, stand-up paddleboard, kids' paddleboard, a spacious new 16' x 20' dock with chaise loungers and umbrellas, and a Solo Stove smokeless fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs. Whether you're fishing, swimming, paddling, enjoying sunset views from the dock, or relaxing around the fire, you'll have everything you need to experience Michigan lake life. Rose Lake is an all-sports lake, and guests are welcome to bring their own boat or jet skis. A public boat launch is conveniently located nearby, allowing you to launch and keep your watercraft tied directly to the dock throughout your stay. Parking is available on the grass near the cottage, and boat trailers may be parked across the street in front of the barn. Other things to note • There is no dishwasher or laundry at the cottage. Laundromats are available in Coldwater and Angola for longer stays. • The kitchen is stocked with dishes, cookware, utensils, coffee essentials, and grilling tools. • A starter bundle of firewood is provided. Additional firewood bundles are typically available on the honor system near the corner of Grass Lake Road and Beverly Drive, just around the corner from the cottage. Please bring cash. • Fishing bait, tackle, snacks, and convenience items are available at Broadheads & Bullets, located just north of Coldwater. • The Roku TV allows you to stream your favorite services using your own accounts or enjoy free content. • Wi-Fi is available, but we hope you'll spend most of your time enjoying the lake, sunsets, and outdoor amenities. • Please clean the Weber grill after use. Extra propane is available in the shed. • Guests bringing boats or personal watercraft should raise outboard motors when docking and operate at idle speed near swimmers, docks, and the swim area. Water Access & Safety Guests may enjoy the canoe, paddle boat, stand-up paddleboard, kids' paddleboard, dock, and lakeside amenities. A limited number of life jackets are provided; however, guests are responsible for ensuring properly fitted life jackets are worn when using watercraft or participating in water activities. All water activities are undertaken at your own risk. Children must be closely supervised at all times near the water, dock, fire pit, and watercraft.
