The Hillside Getaway

Enjoy this quiet authentic cedar log cabin just a 7 minute drive from downtown Alfred! The 32 acre property has a beautiful pond and connects to the Phillips Creek State Forest. Organic coffee and herbal teas are provided. All bedding and towels provided. The space Beautiful 32 acre property with a lovely pond and much wildlife to see. The property connects to the Phillips Creek State Forest. There is a picnic table and firepit for you to enjoy just outside the pond. Feel free to swim at your own risk. We also have a small bee yard that is enclosed with an electric fence near the pond, so please be careful around these areas. Other things to note Living Acres and Living Cultures Farm are both located on the very same hill as this cabin. Garden tours and delicious produce brought to you or picked up at our farm stand can all be arranged. We have a wide selection of heirloom vegetables, berries, Shiitake mushrooms, honey, jams, organic, soy-free eggs and Chicken along with a large variety of ferments, komchucha, and sourdough bread. The acreage surrounding the cabin is private, but occasionally, you might see us tending to the gardens, feel free to say hello! This is a lovely area with lots to do and see. Alfred is home to a fun farmers market from mid-June to mid-October every Sunday 11-3. Stores and places to eat: Noon Day- a small natural foods store in town that also serves great coffee and has some light fair. Sunny Cove farm- a wonderful family farm with a farm store stocked with their raw milk, grass-fed meats and many staples like flour, produce and cheese. They have nice breakfast and lunch menu, just 7 minutes from the cabin 34 N Main St, Alfred, NY 14802 The Arena- a very unique restaurant in Wellsville, NY. They use quality ingredients here with no processed oils and things like artisanal flour for their baked good.
