Albrook room with a jungle view
Albrook room with a jungle view
Description
A cozy ROOM in Albrook, nestled in a tidy and welcoming house where I live. A five-minute walk to the bus stop, a 20-minute walk to 3 supermarkets, a veggie market & Albrook airport (Marcos A. Gelabert-NOT Tocumen International). Despite being conveniently situated in the city, the nearby jungle gives it a tranquil feel. Please note that I have two dogs and a cat, so if you have allergies or are not a fan of animals, this might not be the ideal spot for you :-) The space The room is very comfortable with a double bed. The mattress has memory foam and the linen (duvet cover and sheets) are all 100% cotton. The floors in the bedroom and hall are carpeted. There are shades as well as curtains making the room nice and cozy for those that like to sleep late. Even though we are located in Panama city, you will fall asleep listening to the ouside jungle sounds. There is an airconditioner in the room as well as a fan if you prefer. The bedroom features a dresser and mirror, nightstand and a walk in closet. I have extra sheets and a single mattress if needed for children, as well as a pack and play. The shared bathroom is right outside the door where there is a warm waterfall shower waiting for you... Guest access The living room, dining room and kitchen are shared as well as the bathroom. Living in the house are myself and my two daughters. My sister lives in an apartment downstairs with her two children. In the living room there is a Smart Tv that is available that has Netflix. There is also an uncovered patio that is fit with a table for six people that you are welcome to use. During your stay Guest interaction is at your preference. I will be happy to help give any advice regarding travelling in Panama as I have lived here my whole life. I speak english and spanish so I can help you communicate if necessary. Breakfast is provided for $10 per person ( fresh fruit salad, toast & jam, eggs, waffles, coffee, orange juice) Must order in advance. Pay cash upon arrival. Other things to note There is a local airport down the road called Marcos A. Gelabert which if you plan on visiting Bocas del Torro or Sanblas by air, this is where you will fly from. I work at a local international school as a Kindergarten teacher. My children attend the same school where I work so we are usually out the door by 7:00 am and do not return until approximately 4 or 5 pm, therefore, you have the house to yourself (other than the housekeeper) unless it is a weekend or school holiday. My housekeeper will happily clean your room and wash your laundry for a minimal fee, please ask ME if interested. If you decide to do the washing yourself, I do not supply washing powder.
