Hockley valley, up country guest cottage

please read the entire post our beautiful cottage is located on 27 acres of land. Which is very secluded and quiet. Open concept cottage , with a loft bedroom with a double bed, a double sofa bed and a single folding bed. Wood burning fire place and a Small area with a hot plate , microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker , small fridge , BBQ on the porch. Swimming pond Vegetable garden and honey bees. Beautiful wooded trail No smoking Kids are welcome The space We are five minutes to hockley store. And fifteen minutes to the resort. The cottage was built with parts of an old church. Wide pine boards, and eight foot windows. It's an open concept space with a loft bedroom. Extremely bright and airy. We are surrounded with trails. We have a swimming pond which has fresh spring water running through it. The property is located on a very quiet 27 acre land. Which is conveniently located next to another hundred acres of county forest. Your chances of spotting wild animals are very good. Bring your snow shoes or cross country skies for a very secluded adventure. Or your bathing suit, for a fresh dip in a natural swimming pond. please remember the pond is a life pond and its not a pool. Our water is drinkable. It's spring fed deep well water. We are 25 minutes to orangeville. 20 minutes to Alliston, where you would find one of the oldest Movie Theatre around (circle theatre). Many lovely restaurant to explore. Besides the wood stove,there is baseboard heating in the cottage. Not have to worry about heating if you choose not to start the wood stove. Also for the adventurous ones..... there is a flying club near by which offers gliding, my personal favourite, called great lakes gliding club. Amazing service and much fun. There is an old barn on the property with many small log sheds, it makes for a photographer's dream. Guest access We treat our guest just like friends. They have complete access to the entire property for exploring and discovery. Other things to note We love our land and respect it...... We don't allow any smoking on any part of our property. We are on a septic tank, so we stay away from chemicals all together. We share our land with the wild life and insects. Please keep that in mind when booking, it is the country , I want you to have an amazing time and not stress about insect (inside and outside) and wild animals. This Airbnb might not be your cup of tea. We provide soap and shampoo that are safe for both our septic and environment. We don't use bleach or whitening chemicals. Our bedsheets are white by simply using baking soda and vinegar. And we use the same method for cleaning the rest of the cottage. There is an old cast iron sink, which is stained over the years and making it as white as pearl would require alot of bleaching. Please keep that in mind. Our home and our cottage has alot of love to offer with alot of charm and character. Simply making it look perfect isn't our agenda. We will be here to help you check in, it's not an easy task to find the cottage in the middle of the property, And we like meeting new faces. the kitchen is a small space, if you are a talented cook, you will be able to prepare a six course meal but please keep that on mind, its a simple kitchen. The distance from the drive way to the cottage is less than 500 feet. There is no shuttle(just a joke) to take you to the front door. You have to Walk :) if that's not a possibility, this is not an Airbnb for you. Our property is very secluded and private, there is no city life near by. Keep that in mind. I feel silly having to put all of this in here. If you are an intelligent soul, I apologize ahead of time. please respect and love what this land has to offer. we also dont offer any one time use products, paper towels, paper napkins, aluminum foil, and body sponges, we do offer plenty of face towels, table napkins to make your stay as comfortable as possible, we all have to do our part to keep garbage from the land field. there is no smoking of any kind and form or shape in any part of our property. there is very little cell reception, there is no internet absolutely no parties, this is a peaceful place, please keep that in mind. we also run a B&B with max 4 people at any given time. the property is big enough to barley see any one, unless on hike in the woods, keep that mind. one more note, the mattress in the loft is cotton and wool and it's special order, we dont sleep on man made products that leaves us with wool and cotton, you might find it harder than spring mattresses, please keep that in mind. wifi is very limited, as we are on satellite and afew boosters around. its still touch and go at best, keep that in mind. just disconnect from it all is the best way to get away. we have added afew chickens, ducks and 2 alpacas to the family. there will be some noise from the domesticated animals around the property, they can be expressive times. we don't do wedding parties, photos or gathring of any kind.
