Just a few miles outside Sherborne, with its famous abbey. Situated between Sherborne & Templecombe train connections. On the A30. Recently converted to a one bedroom cottage this former skittle alley offers space and home amenities. With a full kitchen and electric car charger should you require it. We are dog friendly. And provide bowls and towels. If you have more than 2 dogs please contact us. Not far to the coast and the area offers lovely country walks. The space Previously a skittle alley in the grounds of a now closed pub. This clean and recently renovated space with one bedroom, ensuite. And a kitchen, dining, living space. Free parking and EV charging, if required. The space has vaulted ceiling and original exposed brick work. Good central heating with stylish radiators. The kitchen offers fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave, air-fryer and tea & coffee provided. Just to the side of this space is a lovely mid century dining table set that’s seats 4. The lounge area is a fluffy comfy sofa and chair with a tv and electric fire with colour change lights. The tv is on Amazon firestick. There is WiFi but it can be slow with some of the apps. The bedroom comes with towels and standard toiletries. Wardrobe space and chest of drawers as well as bed side tables. We happily allow dogs with a small garden attached to the main pub which guests can use. We do have 2 of our own dogs who are very friendly. To the front of and as you pull up is your parking space. It fits 3 cars but usually we use one space ourselves. There is an EV charger that can be used at a fee. We are happy to discuss any needs you feel we could meet but haven’t offered. Guest access All on one level with some small steps Other things to note Situated in the ground of a currently closed 17th century grade II listed pub. The pub The Tippling Philosopher closed on 31 December 2024 when my husband and I retired after 15 years here and 30 in the trade, in order to transform the then business into the new one which will be bed and breakfast when the planning commences. Which is expected to be late May. Watch this space for updates…. Our village is lovely and clean. Serviced by a lovely church which rings bells Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings (10am) We also have an award winning chip shop, a social club, a pub, a co op, a hairdressers and the award winning Clockspire restaurant. As well as amazing countryside.
