Perfect for couples, group of three or solo travellers, with a 10-minute walk from fashionable Bruton High Street. Unwind with countryside views and relax in the private garden overlooking fields. Included is another single bedroom with workspace and a desk. Your rooms have quality tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Breakfast is provided. Conveniently placed, a 5-minute drive from The Newt or Hauser and Wirth gallery. Stourhead is 15 minutes. There is a parking space on the drive for you. The space This is a detached house in Bruton with a space to park. It’s a friendly area and a cul-de-sac. Easy access to lovely walks including a short stroll to town and all it has to offer, with all its charm. Bruton is a cultural hub with lots of places to enjoy the arts and also somewhere to enjoy eating out. The generous bathroom with both a bath and shower is all yours during the stay. Guests enjoy the bath! The Newt is 5 minute drive. I am a member so please ask me about visiting, getting passes and any recommendations. Hauser and Wirth is a 5 minute drive or an enjoyable walk. Stourhead is a short drive away and the wider National Trust estate is worth a visit, including King Alfred’s tower. A folder of walks is in the dining room. They can start from the house. The MacMillan way is nearby. The workspace has a monitor available which can be connected to your devices and used for work or watching your own streamed TV. Please ask on booking. Many visitors enjoy our cat who love the attention and comment that it’s rather like home from home. Guest access I hope to welcome you into the hallway, you will have access to the shared dining room and conservatory overlooking the garden. I can leave you to have breakfast in private- there’s a range of choices. And if you wish to enjoy the sun rays in the morning the patio can be a great spot to enjoy breakfast in the warm under the canopy. The kitchen and utility are available for you, and kitchen fridge space. Your bedroom and the office room with a pull out bed with a sprung mattress. Upstairs the family bathroom is usually solely for you, as we have our own, only on a rare occasion yours is shared. I only ask that you leave shoes by the front door or muddy boots in the utility. There’s a tap outside if you want to wash them (I don’t!). During your stay I am passionate about Bruton but appreciate not everyone wants to chat, I am happy to follow your lead. I am available through the Airbnb messaging service and will share my mobile number with you. I am happy to meet you at the property. If I am unavailable, I will give you access through the key safe and catch up with you if you wish. Other things to note We welcome you to our home. We hope you like cats. We have a friendly cat who sleeps most of the day. He’s very popular!
