Serenity in the Woods - Cabin with Pool

Enjoy the seasons and forget your worries. A secluded hilltop getaway with stunning sunsets. Log cabin located on a 30 acre private hill just 20 min from Morgantown / WVU, or go 60 miles north on I-79 to explore Pittsburgh. A perfect spot for a couples relaxing weekend, a comfy remote work week or a family vacation. An oasis in the woods in the summer. A great spot for hunting in the fall. Snowy walks and cozy evenings by the fire in the winter. Heated pool open May 1 - Oct 1. Hot tub Oct-April. The space The cabin has three private bedrooms and an additional 4th king-size bed in the loft overlooking the dining area and living room with fireplace. Each of the three floors (terrace, main, loft) has a bedroom with its own full bath. The master bedroom on the main floor has a separate shower and Jacuzzi tub. The other two bedrooms have a shower only. We do not have any sleeper sofas. We do have an air mattress in the basement bedroom and a large LoveSac in the living room. Kids and teens sometimes prefer to sleep there on movie nights. There are two kitchens, one smaller kitchenette downstairs on the terrace level and the primary on the main floor. With no window coverings, the open layout lets in tons of natural light. Furnished in a cozy southwest cabin style, we enjoy the moonlight and sleep and rise with the sun. If you prefer it very dark consider bringing a sleep eye mask. The large master bedroom has a king size swing bed that gently rocks you to sleep. (Yes! the bed hangs from the ceiling.) Master bathroom with an oversized Jacuzzi tub and a separate shower, walk in closet with washer/dryer and a TV. The third floor loft bedroom has a full bath w/ shower, queen bed and a work space w/ desk and chair. There is also a TV and Xbox gaming console and lots of books. The sports themed terrace level bedroom has a full bath w/ shower, queen bed, a work space w/ desk and chair and lots of closet space. There are baseball gloves, basketballs, golf clubs, a TV and this is where you’ll find the air mattress. If you’re into gaming bring your own console and controllers. Ours are definitely older models. (Please note: we are in rural Greene county and do not have fiber optic. We stream internet TV and video chat via Zoom and MSTeams with no issue but online gaming is laggy.) The main floor kitchen has all the pots, pans, and utensils you need to cook a nice meal, and we have essentials like cooking oil, spices, coffee and tea. The coffee bar has a drip coffee maker and tea kettle. We also have a smoker and propane grill outside for your use. The terrace level is great for gathering to watch the big game or play cards. It's the ultimate man cave with a kitchenette, 85” big screen TV and large bar table that easily seats 10 people. There’s a microwave, two burner cooktop, popcorn machine, and Kurig coffee maker. This Airbnb will feel less like a rental and more like a home. We are not a large property management company. You will be staying in our log cabin home. The furnishings and decorations are eclectic. The cabinets and closets are full. Our goal is for you to step into local life with the feeling of being welcomed into a friend's home. We hope that makes for a relaxing and comfortable stay that sets the stage for lasting memories. Guest access You have full and private access to the home, pool (open May 1 to Oct 1), sauna (all seasons), hot tub (Oct-Apr), yard, wrap around porch and 30-acre wooded hillside. Please note: Oct to April the porch and outdoor sitting areas are winterized and patio furniture is covered. You don’t get the secluded privacy without some adventure! To get from the road to our home you must travel 1/4 mile or so up a long gravel driveway to the top of the hill. If you don’t have a car where all 4-wheels turn we recommend you turn off the traction control. We’re located ~3 miles from Exit 7 of I-79 (Kirby/Garards Fort) on Hwy 19 or Mount Morris Road about 10 miles south of Waynesburg. Google maps will bring you right to our driveway. You can't see the house but there will be a brown garage that's visible from the road. Other things to note Guests can find a wide range of outdoor activities nearby. Kayaking down Dunkard or Ten Mile creek is fun. We have two kayaks and a few life jackets if you have a way to haul them. There's a cute little antique shop about 3-5 miles from the house. Call first. Their hours vary by season. Hiking or biking the Greene River Trail along the Monongahela River, visiting the Greene County Historical Society Museum or Mason Dixon Historical Park which offers 295 acres with hiking trails and a playground.
