The space We call it a "cabin" because it's made of wood and sits high up in the Western North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains, but it's not your typical "log cabin." We built a modern, Scandinavian inspired, "happy place" filled with natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows surrounded by sweeping mountain views and large boulders. There are 2 cabins on our 64 acre property. This one sits halfway up the gravel mountain road (no 4WD required!) allowing for a quite, private stay. The other cabin is located at the entrance of the property and is far out of view. Guest access You have access to the whole house and there are no other houses within eye / ear shot. Other things to note NOTE for Winter Months: This cabin sits halfway up our mountain property. The road is gravel and can be a little steeper at points. In normal conditions there is no problem getting up the mountain to the cabin, but during the months where there is a potential for snow, a 4-Wheel-Drive vehicle is very helpful. Our neighbor has a snow plow and is on call as soon as snow falls to clear the road ASAP, but there are times when it’s too heavy or very cold and leaves a small layer of snow / ice that makes it too slick to drive up the mountain. This is rare, but can happen. Please use discretion when booking dates, primarily between December and the End of February.
