Muskie Lodge on Saint John River

Make some memories at this quiet, family-friendly camp in Northern Maine. Located on Saint John River in Van Buren. Fish for Muskie or Small mouth Bass, tandem kayak or just relax. Enjoy the view of Canada across the river and trains that frequently pass. Full size bed in this one bedroom camp, a futon in the living room and two twin beds in the loft. Off-grid, but has electricity, small fridge, hot and cold water kitchen sink and pellet stove. Outhouse and outdoor shower. Charcoal and gas grill The space Spacious riverfront lawn for outdoor recreation, barbecues. Fern-filled forest to explore. Nearby railroad tracks. Beautiful view of the St. John River that divides the United States and Canada, with Canadian Trains frequently passing. River access for kayak, depending on water levels, may be able to walk alongside the river. No boat-landing or dock. Horseshoes, grills, fire pit for you to use- bring firewood. Guest access Must travel a dirt road off US Route 1 to access camp. Might be slippery if recent rain. Other things to note Bring drinking water.
