Aspen | Riverfront Bell Tent

Nestled on 10 private acres near Smithers, our Aspen Riverfront Bell Tent offers an authentic Canadian camping experience with the comfort of two twin beds, wood stove, outdoor hot shower, and riverside composting toilet with a view! Relax with coffee on the deck, spend your day fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, lounging in a hammock by the river or float the Telkwa from our boat launch. In the evenings, stargaze around the fire before settling in for a cozy night by the stove. The space The tent is fully off-grid with Wi-Fi but no electricity—perfect for unplugging and reconnecting with nature. Guests have access to a shared outdoor kitchen with camp stoves, mini fridge, and basic cooking supplies, plus lawn games, garden, and riverfront trails. Please note: No cooking inside tents Dogs allowed on the property but not inside tents Wildlife-safe food storage rules apply Open fires subject to local fire bans Shared outdoor spaces may include other guests during peak season Located 25 minutes from Smithers, 8 minutes from the Bulkley River, and close to incredible backcountry access, this is the perfect base for fishing, adventure, or a peaceful wilderness escape. Guest access Guests have access to the riverfront trail to Pat's Pool, the garden, lawn games area off the house, and all the local trails. Please note that the trail on which the tent is located leads to our neighbours' property. Please respect their privacy and go no further than the allocated marker. Other things to note We are 25 minutes away from the artistic mountain town of Smithers, 10 minutes from the Telkwa - Bulkley River confluence and 2 minutes from Telkwa River FSR with access to stunning backcountry and fishing. **NO FISHING ON THE TELKWA RIVER FOR NON-CANADIAN RESIDENTS (September 1st-October 31st). Please ensure you have read the freshwater fishing regulations. The Bulkley is a short drive away and can be fished on weekdays providing you have a license and are abiding by all regulations. Alecia is an avid gardener and you’re welcome to wander around the garden and greenhouse to see what’s growing! There may also be fresh produce to purchase, inquire with your hosts if interested. We have another tent, Willow, which is approximately 20 metres from Aspen. During peak season this may be booked as well, but there are good foliage breaks between the two. MUST LOVE DOGS — our two friendly resident pups roam the property and will likely stop by to say hello.
