Our facility is in a great location with all of Otaru's popular tourist spots within walking distance, including the Sankaichi Market next to Otaru Station, Sakaimachi Street, and the Otaru Canal. You can enjoy fresh seafood food, visit local Genghis Khan, ramen shops, and even night views along the canal and photogenic sightseeing spots just around the corner. In addition, you can enjoy the refreshing sea breeze in Otaru in summer and fantastic snow in winter, so you can fully enjoy the charms of all seasons. Otaru has a history of being called the "Wall Street of the North" and is a charming city with stone warehouses and a retro townscape. Sakaimachi-dori is also a great place to look for specialty products and souvenirs, and it is a comfortable base for a trip to enjoy sightseeing and gourmet food in Otaru. The space (Accommodation tax information) The City of Otaru collects an accommodation tax from guests staying at accommodations within the city. The tax will start on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, and will be charged per person per night according to the room rate category: 300 yen for less than 20,000 yen, 400 yen for 20,000 yen to less than 50,000 yen, and 700 yen for 50,000 yen or more. This occupancy tax is used to improve the hosting environment and hospitality so that tourists can have a more comfortable stay. ~ Access to the surrounding area ~ It is a 3-minute walk to Sakaimachi-dori, a 7-minute walk to the Otaru Canal, and a 10-minute walk to the Hanazono area (with many izakaya), making it a convenient location for sightseeing and dining. - Accommodation Rules - Absolutely no smoking (including e-cigarettes) indoors or on the premises. If smoking is detected, there will be a 50,000 yen fine. No noise, and there are instructions regarding trash. ~About reservations and check-in~ There are some items that need to be sent by message, which are required by law.
