Welcome to your peaceful lakeside getaway in northern Minnesota! Nestled on a quiet, spring-fed lake just 4 miles north of Lake George, this charming cottage is perfect for couples, small families, and anyone seeking rest, beauty, and connection with nature. Located on game refuge. Many miles of public trails accessible nearby. Pontoon for rent if interested. Drone footage available. Other things to note Please note there is no dishwasher so you’ll need to hand wash dishes. A starter supply of paper plates included just in case. We are on the Schoolcraft Game Refuge. There are hundreds of miles of trails for your enjoyment. Bow hunting only when in-season with license. Please see DNR rules and regulations. In the winter, our lake is popular among ice fishers, cross-country skiers, and snowmobilers, with hundreds of miles of trails close by. Campfire chairs and hammock located in the green soft sided deck box on back side of cottage. Help yourself and enjoy! Children welcome- Please look closely at the photos if you are coming with children to determine if the space will be a good fit for your family. We do not have a crib, so please plan to bring a pack and play if needed. I can offer a high chair with advance notice. Please message with specific questions. Wildlife and bugs - We have a regular pest service treat the cottage, and we have a professional grade "bug zapper" outside; however it is a heavily wooded property and there will be wildlife, critters and bugs outside and we can not guarantee that an enterprising spider or ladybug won't make their way inside during your stay. Boating and fishing - If you would like to bring a boat please contact us; we want to make sure our lake and dock/beach are a good fit for your boat and boating plans. You can search the MN DNR or Lake Link for Lake Minnie in Hubbard County to see more about our lake's size, depth and fish varieties. Please note we are central to a multitude of additional fishing lakes nearby including Lake George, Leech Lake, Kabekona Lake, Lake Itasca, Lake Bemidji, Plantagenet, Lake Winnie, to name a few. Guide service can be arranged with advance notice. Please message for details. Please no cleaning of fish or wildlife inside the cabin. Kayaking - We have two kayaks and a paddleboard for guest use. There is a wonderful kayak launch off the floating dock to make things easier! Please feel free to bring your own kayaks and enjoy! Life vests are in the deck box as well as the pump and supplies for our paddleboard. Please NO DIVING from our dock. GUEST LIMIT - Our guest limit is tied to our short term rental license.
