The space You will love this stylish, light filled, two-bedroom apartment in a renovated country house built in the 1800. The apartment is 78m2. It is situated in a residential historic part of the village of Planina which was first mentioned in the 13th century. Bus stop, post office and grocery shop are 10min walk from the property. Planinska jama cave an Ravbarjev stolp castle are 20min walk from the house, accessible both on foot or by bike via lovely footpaths through the natural beauties of Planinsko polje meadows and by the Unica river that springs in Planinska jama Cave. The apartment comes with a large terrace, with table and chairs and a swing, that extends into the garden with lawn, meadow and old fruit trees, and a viewpoint overlooking the fields with a seating area at the edge of the property. Free parking on property. Apartment: The apartment is filled with vintage and other select furniture, most of it lovingly restored or modified to fit the country vibes. There are two bedrooms, one with a king and the other with a queen-sized double bed. The bedding is all cotton for the most comfortable rest. Extra fleece blankets are provided for the colder nights. Kitchen and dining area with an arched ceiling are fully furnished with amenities for serious cooking and dining as well as just for quick meal prep. Pots, pans, crockery, oven, stove, dish washer, toaster, electric grill all come handy if you decide to make a home-cooked meal. There will also be coffee, tea and all of the basic condiments like salt, pepper and sugar… All your meals can be enjoyed outside on the terrace table set or even on a swing or as a picnic at the view point. Comfortable sofa with seating for 4 guests and an extra armchair with a garden view are set in the living room that forms one large space together with the dining area and the kitchen. Underfloor heating, Air Con, Smart TV, bluetooth audio HiFi system and free WiFi provide extra comfort. The armchair is perfect if you feel like lounging around with a glass of wine or a beer… Natural travertine stone bathroom with an extra large bath tub, natural light and a bidet can make your stay even more relaxing. You will get shampoo, soap as well as a hairdryer and plenty of towels. Ample storage is available throughout the apartment. Washing machine, drying rack and an iron board come handy for longer stays. The village surrounding is perfect for long walks in nature, bird watching, fly fishing, canoeing and biking. Serious mountain bike trails start just behind the property. GPXs are available. The apartment makes a perfect base for discovering Slovenia as it is only 4km from the motorway connecting Ljubljana with the coast (Koper, Trieste, Piran) and only a few minutes from the famous Postojna cave. Guest access You will have sole use of all of the apartment, terrace and free parking space. Garden is only occasionally visited by the host for lawn mowing, tree and animal care, but this is kept to a minimum and mostly done during guests absence if possible, as I strive to respect my guests privacy, so it is almost 98% private. Other things to note Goats grazing in the garden. Cat and hedgehog visit occasionally.
