Tomages 4 pet-friendly cabin in Xalapa

Ecotourism accommodation within 4 hectares of Cloud Forest, in Xalapa, Veracruz, 3.5 hours from Mexico City. Experience staying in one of our rustic-style cabins surrounded by lush vegetation, with the basic amenities to enjoy a few days away from the chaos of the city, in a relaxing atmosphere or if you prefer, full of adventures. It's a great option to travel with your dog and enjoy the spaces created specifically for this purpose. The space At the UMA Tierra Tomages ecotourism center (Management Unit for Wildlife Conservation/Adventure Camp), we care about the environment. The cabins were made with reused railway sleepers, we used worn tires to make retaining walls, fallen logs to make pots, etc. We favor the protection of endangered species such as Maquiques ferns and encourage the growth of species in the area such as orchids, bromeliads and bamboos of different species. The cabin has 2 bedrooms, the first with 1 double bed and a loft with a single mattress, the second has 2 double beds and 2 lofts with a single mattress each. The tapancos are a double-height structure which is entered by a staircase placed on the wall. There are two bathrooms, one in the second bedroom and one on the terrace, with 24-hour hot water with a water heater. Outside the rooms, there are 2 terraces equipped with tables and chairs, overlooking the beautiful Cloud Forest. We provide towels and personal cleaning essentials. Guest access When you stay in a cabin inside UMA Tierra Tomages, we include the campfire activity at no extra cost, hiking trails, a soccer field with a multipurpose palapa, an outdoor auditorium, and parking inside the property. The hot springs pool, rafting and zip lines are activities that we recommend doing, they are outside our facilities and have an extra cost. Activities subject to availability. We have several magical villages relatively close by, it is a must that you visit at least one of them. The waterfalls in Xico, Coatepec, a coffee village, or Naolinco, which offers us the Day of the Dead festival in early November, a unique experience. Other things to note Keep in mind that in the Cloud Forest it rains very often. We recommend bringing a raincoat and a change of shoes in case they get wet. Remember to bring biodegradable insect repellent, sunscreen, hiking boots, tennis shoes, warm clothes, a flashlight, and a small backpack for excursions. If you want to go to the hot springs, don't forget to bring your swimsuit and remember it is a totally pet-friendly place, so don't forget your dog and its dishes! (If your dog sleeps on the bed, please bring your own bedding).
