Three-room apartment in Kvistrom guest house

Kviströms guest house, one of the oldest buildings in the Bohuslän (1664) sits where Medieval strife, Nordic conflicts, and Cold War tension have had historic impact. Just here, the ancient route along sea and inland crossed River Örekilsälven. Today it is adjacent to two natural reserves. Easy access by cars, buses to shopping and tourist attractions: Smögen, Hunnebostrand, Fjällbacka, Lysekil, Strömstad etc. Free parking. Enjoy fishing, canoeing, hiking in nature, swimming in sea and lakes The space The inn (Kviströms Gästgiveri) is fully renovated to be as original as possible during the period 2019- 2020. There are in three guest rooms plus three flats in the whole inn. The two seminar rooms can house 30-40 and 12 persons respectively where we host many public events such as seminars/meetings, music and afternoon tea. The first floor hosts Cafe 1788. You are now staying with us in the three-sleeping room flat on the top (about 120 sq.m.). There are 3 bedrooms which accommodate max 6 persons (bedroom 1: 2 single beds 90x200, bedroom 2: 2 single beds 90x200, bedroom 3: double bed 160x200). Those single beds can be combined and become the double beds. In a big living room and dining room, there are a sofa group, a smart TV 65", a dining table and chairs for 6 persons. We provide a well-equipped kitchen in this flat there you find an oven, a fridge/freezer, a dishwater, a microwave, water boiler, coffee boiler, toaster, plates, cups, spoons, knives and forks. In a bathroom, there are a dusch cabin, a toilet and a cloth hanger. Guest access Check-in time is between 15.00 - 20.00 and check-out time is latest 10.00. Please inform us in advance if you want to have different time check-in and check-out times. For your convenience, in some situations we can give an instruction to check in yourself. Breakfast is not include in the rent. If you require breakfast, meals for lunch or dinner, kindly check our meny in the Cafe. More options are available on request. Breakfast is served in the cafe from 8.00 - 10.00. We can prepare a take-away breakfast if you want your breakfast earlier. Please book in beforehand. Laundry: The laundry room is in the basement. Please contact us to get the key. Lock the laundry room when you finish. TV/Internet: Wireless internet is provided via mobile bredbands. There is a smart TV 65" in the apartment. We provide conference services in the guest house: meeting rooms, foods and coffee breaks. Please ask us for more information if you need! Other things to note Kviströms Gästgiveri was once the hub of Kvistrum village. It now features the south entrance to Munkedal. A 15 minute walk upstream along the left side of river Örekilsälven takes you to the Munkedal centre with two supermarkets (ICA and COOP), pharmacy, health centre, bank, shops, library, and restaurants. The adjacent central park has an outdoor gym and a miniature golf course. Choosing instead to cross the bridge outside the inn, you reach the popular railway museum where you can travel to the old port and back. This port has turned into an industrial artefact due to the land uplift after the latest ice age. Many prefer to come here to fish mackerel. Since Örekilsälven is one of the best salmon rivers in southern Sweden, Munkedal also offers licences for salmon fishing along the river stretch. Trekking in the immediate neighbourhood can take you across the old national road to the ancient “fornborg” on top of the nature reserve Kviströmsberget or to the path Maltes Stig on the shores of fjord Gullmaren. Canoeing is a major attraction, available at sea or on the inland watercourses comprising lakes and streams inland. The inn is adjacent to two nature reserves, one with a botanical and one with a river water profile. Beyond these easy access is possible to a range of activities. Walking trails deep into the hinterland are plenty, including stretches of the regional Bohusleden. Fresh water baths and salty ones in Sweden’s deepest and longest fjord are found within minutes. Just outside our door are bus stops offering frequent connections to the sea pearls of Bohuslän, such as Smögen, Kungshamn, Hunnebostrand, Fjällbacka, Lysekil, Strömstad. All of these offer deep sea adventures of varying kind.
