Neighbors are few and far between, but great restaurants and musical entertainment are just three miles away in the National Historic District of downtown Hallowell, and the state capitol building in Augusta, along with endless shopping opportunities, are less than five miles away. Your own car is really essential for getting around the area, although there are taxis available. There is plenty of free parking at the Inn. We are just ten minutes from the Augusta airport (AUG -- which is very small), the Portland Jetport (PWM) is just an hour away, and Bangor (BGR) is about an hour and 20 minutes to our north. Each guest room has a large flat-screen television with cable TV, a DVD player (a small library is available at the front desk), and a clock-radio-CD player that also has nature sounds.
