La Chalet- Beach Front Perfection

Our home is a lovely oceanfront chalet, facing west, with a separate guest house. The main structure is built with local tropical hardwood, which gives it a warm and cozy atmosphere. The space On the first floor, you will find a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room, master bedroom and bathroom. Large windows with mosquito nets allow excellent cross ventilation and offer breathtaking views of the ocean and the lush jungle. In the mezzanine, there is a comfortable double bed, ideal for a quiet rest in the heart of nature. We operate off-grid, so our energy comes from an internal solar system. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare delicious meals, including a medium-sized refrigerator, a gas stove, a toaster oven, a coffee maker, an electric pan, and a blender. A perfect retreat for those looking for comfort, sustainability, and connection to nature. The house has a large enveloping balcony, perfect for enjoying outdoor meals or relaxing while watching the daily spectacle of the abundant wildlife. Located on a property of 5 acres (2 hectares), the house offers 200 meters of private seafront, surrounded by lush gardens with tropical plants and fruit trees. We invite you to pick up and enjoy the fruit available on the property, although much of it also serves as food for local wildlife. The guest house is a restored old school, located right on the high tide line. It has a small kitchen with appliances, a full bathroom and a comfortable queen bed. Extra single beds are also available upon request. An ideal space for those looking for tranquility, contact with nature and an authentic oceanfront experience. Guest access Once on the property, you can explore a network of public trails that meander through the lush rainforest. Don't miss the chance to visit a majestic Ceiba-Kapok tree, a natural wonder that will leave you breathless. Other things to note We are located in Playa San Josecito, a paradise hidden in the Osa Region, within the Piedras Blancas National Park. It can only be accessed by boat or via a trail, ensuring an exclusive experience in harmony with nature. We are only 30 minutes by boat from Puerto Jiménez or Golfito, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. Our property, completely off the grid, is immersed in the rainforest and in front of the serene waters of Golfo Dulce. The area is so special that two renowned eco-hotels have operated here for years, reflecting the charm and appeal of the place. Playa San Josecito is an extensive beach a mile long, facing west, with warm and quiet waters, perfect for enjoying at any time of day. At low tide, we recommend a relaxing hike on the beach, while at high tide you can explore beyond our property with our complimentary stand-up paddles or kayaks. From August to September, during the whale season, it is common to see them on the boat ride of arrival or departure. Sometimes they get so close to the shore that you can see them, hear them and even feel their presence from the house, creating a truly magical experience. During the dry season, from December to April, on waning moon nights, growing or new, the ocean is illuminated by the phenomenon of bioluminescence. Immerse yourself in this natural show with a night bath, kayaking, or paddleboarding for an unforgettable experience. ROUND TRIP BOAT TRANSPORTATION The boat trip from Golfito to Playa San Josecito costs $100 USD per way, covering all guests and their luggage (total fee, not per person). Our captain will be happy to stop or deflect slightly if we cross paths with dolphins, whales or other species of the incredible local wildlife. Pickup time will be organized according to your preferences. Payment must be made to the caretaker on the property, not the captain. PROPERTY CARETAKER – PERSONALIZED ATTENTION We have a full time onsite caretaker, Berny, who will greet you with a smile and will be available to help at all times. She is a friendly and communicative person, and will assist you with your luggage upon arrival. HIKE TO THE GIANT TREE OF CEIBA For hiking enthusiasts, we offer a challenging hike ideal for experienced hikers. The route traverses dry river beds and rises 500 meters above sea level, crossing the lush rainforest to a majestic Ceiba-Kapok tree over a century old. This is a unique opportunity to see a tree up close by with stunning buttresses. For details, see privately. KAYAK & STAND-UP PADDLE (SUP) Our guests have access to two kayaks and two paddleboard (SUP) as well as snorkeling equipment for two people. For more information, check in privately. LOCAL FISHING & FRESH FISH Live the experience of traditional Costa Rican fishing with Berny or Malleski, who will take you on our small boat during the night to fish with artisan methods. Additional cost of $50 and $100. At sunset, the landscapes are spectacular and if luck is on your side, you can enjoy your own fishing of the day.
