Access is only by boat or via a trail, ensuring an exclusive, intimate experience in total harmony with nature. We are just a 30-minute boat ride from Puerto Jiménez or Golfito, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty and unique biodiversity. Nestled in the lush rainforest and overlooking the tranquil waters of the Golfo Dulce, it offers a unique setting of peace and connection with nature. This area is so special that renowned eco-hotels have been operating here for years, reflecting the place's extraordinary charm and natural value. Playa San Josecito is a long beach, approximately one mile in length, facing west, with warm and calm waters, ideal for enjoying at any time of day. At low tide, we recommend a relaxing walk along the beach, while at high tide you can explore beyond the property using our complimentary kayaks or stand-up paddleboards. From August to September, during whale season, it is common to spot whales during the boat ride on arrival or departure. At times, they come so close to the shore that you can see them, hear them, and even feel their presence from the house, creating a truly magical experience. During the dry season (December–April), on nights when the moon is new, waxing, or waning, the ocean is illuminated by the phenomenon of bioluminescence. You can enjoy this natural spectacle with a nighttime swim or by exploring the sea by kayak or paddleboard for an unforgettable experience. Personalized attention We have a full-time caretaker on the property, Berny, who will welcome you with a smile and will be available to assist you at all times, including helping with your luggage upon arrival. Hike to the Giant Tree of Ceiba For adventure lovers, we offer a challenging hike ideal for experienced hikers. The trail crosses dry riverbeds and ascends approximately 500 meters above sea level, passing through the rainforest until it reaches a majestic kapok tree over a century old.
