Mangífera Hostel is your home away from home in Costa Rica. Discover Grecia and its -off the beaten path- surroundings enjoying the relaxed vibe of our tropical garden. We are always up for giving you some insider sight seeing tips so you can experience Costa Rica in a more authentic way. Because our (vegan-friendly) restaurant and bar are open to the public, it creates a cosy atmosphere to tune in with the locals during one of the cultural events we often organize during the weekends. The space The highlight of our hostel is the lush garden with a variety of tropical plants, a massive mango tree and hang out spots. It's the ideal place to come home after a full day of exploring, read your book, plan your next day, chill or work. Watch the locals go about their everyday life from the shared balcony with a view of the central park or chill out in your cosy room. We created this space for you to be comfortable! Guest access We also offer free coffee and tea, a shared fridge, water kettle and some basic kitchen utensils (cups, bowls, plates, knives, forks, spoons). The room has free Wi-Fi that is also accessible in all shared areas. Other things to note Please let us if you will arrive with a vehicle and if you need a parking spot. The staff will arrange a parking possibility for you. Pets are allowed if well behaved. Our hostel is located right in the city center of Grecia, within walking distance from shops, restaurants, pharmacies and the central park. Be aware that being located in the city center also comes with typical city center noises like (heavy) traffic, church bells and now and then events in the park. If you are very sensitive to noise, please think about bringing some earplugs. Since we are a hostel, we organize social activities (concerts, karaoke, board game nights) mostly at the nights during the weekends. These activities are always free to join by our guests. Be aware that these events can cause some noise and can be heard in the majority of our rooms. We always intent to turn down the volume around 10:30 / 11 p.m. Our hostel does not offer a fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs in the hostel there's an area where we offer free coffee and tea, there is a water kettle, shared fridge and some bowls, cutlery and mugs for you to use.
