We are pet-friendly, so about 75 percent of our guests stay with their animals. Please keep that in mind when considering a stay here. Our rental is an older duplex in a quiet neighborhood. There are two bedrooms, one bathroom, full kitchen, washer and dryer, one car garage, and a large yard. There is ample parking for someone with a boat or trailer. We are a short walk from the city park, and close to the center of town, but on the quiet corner of a small neighborhood. We are "unplugged". There is a TV with some DVDs, but no cable or wifi. The local grocery store has additional movies for rent. For other entertainment, we add books, magazines, puzzles and games as we come across them. We also have a board with some maps, restaurant menus, and local information to help you during your stay. The entire side of the duplex is included in the rental along with a large yard. Please ask all the questions you can think of, as I'm happy to answer any questions about the area. This area of the world is still remote and mostly free from stress of city living. Not a lot of noise, very little traffic, and even less pollution. We ask that visitors to the area help keep this neighborhood clean and quiet. Pets are welcome at the park across the street as long as they are on a leash and picked up after. We enjoy the scenery and the proximity to beaches and forests, rivers and mountains. In less than an hour, we can have our feet in the ocean or be starting up a mountain trail. In exchange, we endure lots and lots of rain. Be prepared for rain in August and cloudy skies year round. It's best to have your own car or a rental car to get around. We are a decent walk to most restaurants in town and the city park, but to get to beaches, forests, or local Twilight sights, it is more realistic to drive! Reminder that there is no internet or wifi. We do not recommend this home to anyone with allergies or sensitivity to animals. Because we are pet friendly and this is an older home with no upgrades, there is usually dust and dander that escapes the vaccum or regular cleaning. There are also areas that are worn with age. We feel it is more important to provide a space for those who travel with their pets and want to caution those who prefer a more modern or spotless space.
